Great pub food. Busy and popular. Had the Mac and cheese with bacon, and the fish and chips was great. There is a Sunday sides platter, which was great. Worth a Sunday lunch visit with friends, but need to book on advance.
Really enjoyed our supper. Food was really tasty. Service was great! I would recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a great time and great food.
PS. You HAVE to ear the triple fried chips!!!!

The food was lovely but unfortunately the greeting by the ‘manageress’ wasn’t so lovely as she quite rudely told us we had an hour time slot before the table was needed for the next guests! Apparently if you book to eat at midday you only get given an hour?! I checked my reservation emails and nowhere did it state it is only an hours slot. So unfortunately we felt incredibly rushed and it was impossible to eat a main and dessert in an hour when they didn’t rush to bring the food out. We went over the hour by about 25 minutes and nobody appeared to be waiting for our table, nor was every table taken in the pub. So we were made to feel uncomfortable for no reason it seems.

Nice atmosphere and the food was okay. But the service was painfully slow. Took well over an hour and 15 for food to arrive. We ordered drinks prior to eating and we had already finished our food- drinks never turned up despite chasing them. We cancelled them in the end as we’d finished eating long before. Ordered coffee which again took forever to arrive. Waitress spilled most of mine into the saucer. Had to go up to the bar and find someone to get the bill. Then they never came over to the table to take payment so had to send a member of the group to pay at the bar. Kept asking if anyone had any allergies and then the waitress muddled up the dairy and non dairy milk anyway, making the entire thing pointless.
Great vibe, very clean, staff were amazing, extremely polite and efficient. The food was first class, will definitely be returning 👍

The food was well presented & nicely cooked. My friend went for the Sunday Roast Beef & I went for the Bass on Risotto. Both were very tasty.
The dessert menu was particularly good and exceeded expectation.
The have a decent wine list and a good selection of beer, cider, specialty gins & vodkas.
Reasonably priced & plenty of parking.
