In the aftermath of the Iraqi invasion in 1990, several cells of popular resistance arose throughout Kuwait. One of these groups was formed by 31 young men who took a collective oath to defend their native land. They called themselves the Al-Messilah Group.
You walk around a corner in a suburban neighbourhood and it's....the Alamo! A very poignant place, humbling to be confronted by an example of genuine heroism and self sacrifice. I would dare anyone to visit and not be moved.
The sad memory of the Iraqi invasion to Kuwait is captured at this site. The place was bombarded and destroyed when the resistance forces barricaded inside.
One of the many stories that occurred during the 1990 invasion of Kuwait. The events of this house took place in Feb 24th 1991 I believe. Just a couple of days before the liberation of Kuwait.
