Great place, the building is a gem, if you are a fan of a great architecture. But the museum was very good too, many expositions. And the game for the kids in the basement was really amazing, my 7 and 11 y/o enyojed it.
Amazing building with lots of amazing little hidden corners of art. Not alone the exhibitions but also the rooms as well. If you have a Rotterdam pass or Ooievaars pas you can get your ticket at the kiosk for free. No need to pre-book.
I visited the Kunstmuseum Den Haag for the temporary Max Beckmann exhibition. The collection is beautiful and definitely worth seeing. Additionally, the museum has a wonderful permanent collection, including works from the Hague School. A special highlight is Monet’s ‘Wisteria,’ which is on display here. The building itself is a work of art and provides a great atmosphere, although the acoustics in the central hall could be better. Overall, the Kunstmuseum Den Haag is a must-visit for art lovers!
I visited this gorgeous museum recently 5 as I wanted to see the Royals and Rebels special exhibition. Previously I have enjoyed the permanent exhibitions of Mondrian. The Royals and Rebels was a refreshing delight injecting a wonderful kaleidoscope of colour and texture. A poignant reflection when you faced two dresses that belonged to Diana the Princess of Wales. Interestingly, the two dresses were the only ones enclosed in a glass box. There is a strong influence coming from Vivienne Westwood and it feels feels fresh and quirky. I loved spotting the fashionistas gasping and gawking at the dresses. A wonderful outing!
