شیلا

Shila has been at the forefront of the dining scene in Tel Aviv and it is easy to see why it remains one of the top restaurants in Tel-aviv Jaffa. Having tried numerous seafood restaurants, it still takes the lead in excellent fresh cooking with the excellent quality ingredients. A few dishes we asked for weren’t available but I’m not sure if that’s because of supply but the waitress was very good at guiding us towards other great dishes. Shila is a bustling and vibrant restaurant, we sat outside and could watch all the people come in and out and soak up the atmosphere. The food is Mediterranean focussed and we tried a number of seafood dishes: the grilled blue crab was excellent, the beef tartare wrapped in cabbage was unique and delicious, the lobster ravioli was scrumptious and the desserts hit the spot. You must visit this restaurant when you stay in TLV. It’s a chef restaurant but when you go there don’t expect to sit in a very fancy place, it looks very local, always full with people and the atmosphere is just like in a bar which makes this place great. The food is fabulous and well seasoned - the openers, main courses and the deserts are all great and taste amazing. You will leave this restaurant already planning when to come back. And by the way, kids are very welcome even in late hours - perfect for a family dinner. I added some photos to give you an idea but there is a lot more to explore. Definitely, 5 stars restaurant
