I work around the corner from Urbi and had been coming here every week up until this week. The coffee is usually very good but unfortunately the last coffee I had from here tasted like dish water and was undrinkable. When I politely told the guy who made the coffee that it didn’t taste right, although previous experiences have been great, he proceeded to taste the coffee himself and told me it was the freshness of the beans and handed the coffee back to me. I could see I had offended him, even though I was polite. Unfortunately Urbi hasn’t just lost me as a customer but has lost the team I work with too. Such a shame.

I’ve worked there for a few shifts over a month and a half ago and the owner still hasn’t paid me. He’s also ignoring any emails, calls or messages.
You’re basically expected to work perfectly and make no mistakes, after about one trial shift.
I found working with him quite unpleasant due to unnecessary screaming and being rude. I know they have a lot to do (because there is simply not enough staff wonder why?), but treating your employees with kindness and paying them for their work should be the minimum.
Coffee and food is good though and the employees at the other café in James street are doing their best to keep everything running!!
