Om Mahalakshmai Cha Vidmahe
Vishnu Patnyai Cha Dhimahi
Tanno Lakshmihi Prachodayat"
The above is one Gayatri Mantra for Goddess Lakshmi, the Goddess of Wealth. When Translated, this hymn means, "Om. May we meditate on the Great Goddess Sri Lakshmi, the consort of Sri Maha Vishnu. May that effulgent Maha Lakshmi Devi inspire and illumine our mind and understanding."
Jai Maa Laxmi. If you are in Udaipur then please try to have darshan in this temple of Maa Laxmi who is beautifully adorned in saree with jewels and Lotus flower. She is worshipped with lot of love and devotion by the devotees who seek her blessings. The temple is centrally located and is about half a km away from Jagdish Ji Mandir. There is a second right cut infront of the Jagdish Mandir which takes directly to the Lotus feet of Maa Laxmi. The artistic colourful design made of glasses on the wall is a great visual treat. There is alwys a fresh aroma of fresh roses and lotus which is offered to Maa Laxmi. Pujari ji is very humble and simple looking. Do make it a point to have darshan here especially on Friday. During Diwali there is a queue which measures upto 1 km as locals worship Maa with great love. Jai Maa Laxmi
