even if it weren’t free, this would be the best museum in mexico city!! the exhibits on mexican caricature/political cartoons and manuel ahumada were fascinating and beautiful, and their rooftop café is just a cherry on top
To be fair I came quickly before closing to catch the rooftop, I’m sure the museum is ventricular but did not get the time to view all floors full of art—
I only went for the exhibit on the caricaturas (editorial cartoons.) Even without understanding Spanish you can grasp so much from the illustrations. This is a free museum and worth a stop if you're in the Centro Historico.
Okay, okay, that’s probably a must-visit rooftop for making a selfie. The museum collection is not vast and either you need a deep knowledge of a Mexico politic situation during years 1875-1915, or take a guide.
