Service: Really bad. Everything went fine until we ordered the bill. We wanted to pay with card (which is allowed if the bill is over 25€, in our case 35€) and the waiter said that it was not possible. We told him that in the menu is written that over 25€ is allowed, and then he said that the car reader was broken. Then we just told him that he should say that before starting to eat, not when paying the bill. Finally the waiter started telling us if we use to treat all the people like that... It was ridiculous.

The restaurant will be easy to find since is located in a busy place in Sachsenhausen close to a bar mile.

The dishes here are so scrumptious and delicious! Frankfurter schnitzel is not to miss and of course local Apfelwein or a glass of good beer. The place is very cozy and in good weather there are tables outside as well
Great service to foreigners/tourists! The main waiter (male) speaks perfect English so luckily was able to help us 👏🏼 gets very busy and noisy, but good vibe! They accept card payment 😊🙌🏼 amazing food, loved the pork knuckle dish, very traditional, hope to visit again. I only wish they had more sauce in the pork dish, I ran out 😅 Alcohol and soft drinks price is very expensive though.
This place is not expensive. But quality of food and drink is not as good. We ordered schnitzels with potatoes, they were too dry and overdone. But portions are huge. The color of alwelwein shows that is has planty of water inside. But atmosphere is good, beautiful place in the old part of city. Service is good.
The staff is AMAZING. My husband and I stood out as tourists right away when we walked in. The place was packed but this sweet man who looked to be the manager came right over and asked if we would want to eat and didn’t mind sitting with a German family! He went out of his way to provide service to us. The waiter we had was incredibly patient with us as there was a language barrier. The food was by far the best we have had on this trip. I got # 53 and he got # 43. The beer.. glorious!!! best tasting beer I’ve had. It was reasonably priced. Thank you to the friendly staff and sweet family so much for making us feel welcomed!
Not big but great pub with many local dishes. Awesome are different versions of Schnitzels like with Green Sauce, with paprika sauce, mushroom sauce and many others. Beer is also very good. You can have even alcoholfree. Staff is friendly and helpful. If you're looking for some local specialty, go there.
