unfortunately, it's a very painful place now, for those who know the old days, there are no crumbs from the old days,

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
Went to Atlas 1948 to watch a movie during the 43 Istanbul Film Festival.
The building is simply stunning and an actual pity that it is not better used.
The ticketing area was chaotic, disorganized. Staff obviously overwhelmed and patrons lost or pushing their way around.
No popcorn, snacks or drinks.
The movie theatre is really big and the seating rather comfortable and spacious.
Unfortunately, the sound was just unbearable, especially during the 15 minutes (!!) advertisements before the movie. I had to close my ears several times as it was painful.
At the end of the movie, we were all shuffled (like cattle) through a little side door creating a massive massive bottleneck and almost stampede. Then pushed again towards the exit on a side street. As it was pouring rain, it was chaos outside. Hundred of people coming out of a narrow door, in a very small back alley in the middle of restaurants’ tables with people smoking shishas.
It was plain traumatizing.
I will simply never watch a movie at Atlas again as the experience was pitiful.

attended a film festival at atlas cinema, the salon is huge and clean, great sound system. despite it being full, it was very organized. the vibes were incredible
