The good people who run this cafe are worth a visit on their own. I stayed overnight nearby and had my bike stolen and they could not of been more helpful or understanding - even offering a free coffee while I sorted it all out. A lovely spot by the canal.

We had a lovely lunch by the canal in the sunshine ☀️. Our toasties were fantastic with the cheese oozing out just as it should 🤤. My only slight disappointment was that they didn't have the Mac n cheese toastie that others have mentioned 😄

Really horrible experience here yesterday, which is really sad because we've had some nice times here in the past,
I went with two friends and their children so 8 kids in total, after going to a FAMILY event at the commandary,
We were sat outside and the children were playing after lunch and had got a bit noisy and excited. The male owner came out to speak to us gave us no warning, was clearly really angry, loud voice, trying to intimidate us, not even really giving us the chance to apologise, scared the children (2 of whom are autistic and became very upset)

I'm 100 percent sure that if any of our husbands had been present he would not have spoken to us like that! And in my opinion he was completely overreacting.
The second time he came out to have another go at us he'd barely given us chance to finish our drinks and pack our stuff away!

The female staff were all lovely and were very helpful, and had plenty of opportunity to ask us politely ( we are perfectly nice people and would totally have respected them! )
