Overall Experience: While the food was decent, the service fell short of expectations in an environment that should prioritize hospitality.
Details:
- Upon arrival, I expressed interest in sitting on the Luk Yuen side and ordering from The Coffee Shop menu.
- A Luk Yuen staff member (red uniform, presumed supervisor) greeted me with a menu but seemed dismayed and dismissive when I inquired about cross-ordering.
- Initially, there was a lack of guidance or assistance in navigating this situation.
- Eventually, I received a menu from The Coffee Shop cashier.
While placing an order, the staff seemed uninviting and lacked a warm demeanor. Understanding fatigue, I believe a smile and hospitable approach are still crucial.
Food:
- I ordered Combo 4 (Goto and Tokwa't Baboy):
- The Goto was okay, but a bit thin for my preference.
- Offering extra condiments like salt, pepper, and chili flakes would enhance customer experience.
Recommendations:
- Training on handling cross-ordering situations for customers interested in The Coffee Shop menu while seated in the Luk Yuen area would be beneficial.
- A focus on maintaining a welcoming and enthusiastic demeanor by staff, regardless of potential fatigue, would greatly improve customer experience.
- Providing additional condiments for self-service would allow customers to personalize their dining experience.

I literally have to approach the cashier to get my bill. And there were no thank yous or see you agains. 🤦🏻♂️

Don't order the "fresh" ubod lumpia because it's not....🙄
Food is good. Great value for money. Service could be better though.
If you want to dine and not hurt the bank, The Coffee Shop is the way to go. Prices are reasonable, however the service can be improved. We had a bad experience there wherein our order were not complete and we almost finished our food when they served the appetizers.
Missed full breakfast and lunch thought longsilog from the all day bfast menu would be perfect for early dinner. Chose this joint to soak in nostalgia from late 70's-early 80's heyday of makati comml center. The combo came with garlic fried rice, grilled 2 pieces of hamonado style longganisa, hard sunny side up, tomato, cucumber and atsara-pickled green papaya strip. Also ordered heart of palm fresh lumpia as side which was quite generous in size but bland if not for the sweet brown sauce. Lon gganisa lacked the usual punch from garlic but thankfully not too salty nor sweet. All came down to less than Php 300!
Dishes are very affordable. your visit won't be complete without trying the Makati Supermarket Spaghetti or their MS Burger!

Tried the burger (served with fries on the side. patty was a bit tough, taste reminded me of a meatball), sago't gulaman (not too sweet, had grass jelly in it as well), buko pandan, and the bread pudding.
Lots of dishes to choose from, they even have combo meals — awesome value for your money.
