If you are looking for an authentic experience, head to this market. It's full of local crafts, and souvenirs, and you can haggle as you keep your cool and smile, they are so nice and friendly.

Excelente place to buy curious. Just be prepared to ignore sellers offering their stuff, just be kind saying hola/hi, that would be enough. Prices are good.
Great prices, cheaper than going into downtown cancun
This is an old style Mexican market with plenty of kiosks selling just about everything. I really enjoyed walking thru there and buying a few things. Just beware, costs are at "tourists" level. But don't forget to barter.
There are a lot of the same items between the shops. Also, a lot of them come from Walmart, about a 5-minute drive away. There are some neat finds and some way overpriced items with pushy salespeople. But it's still worth a trip to see for yourself.
