Not far from our hotel this beautiful Cathedral in the Kazan Kremlin, was constructed between 1554 and 1562 under the direction of Tsar Ivan the Terrible, replacing an earlier wooden church³. According to documents it is prime example of Pskov architectural style, featuring distinctive blue domes and a majestic presence. It is a must see while in Kazan
