What I love about this airport is how quick and organized it is, how smooth and fast you can get through security and customs.
It is a very clean and as mentioned organized airport. Where the location of transportation, departure hall/ arrival, smoking areas, taxi and bus is all placed strategically.
Though it should be mentioned that this airport is not finished, construction wise. Stage 4, which is the last stage, is to be completed later this year.
This means there are and have been alot of changes, temporarily. Which could confuse a frequent traveler as well as first time visitors.
Terminal 1 and 2 are very similar as well as different. Terminal 2 is newer but houses currently fewer food and drink options before the security check, but I presume this will change once the final extension is finalized.
Simcard etc can be challenging to get depending on what terminal you arrive to. It isn't hidden or difficult, but I would consider terminal 1 to be easier to find what I need over terminal 2.
Once the airport extension of terminal 2 is complete, I will make a update.

Seoul International airport is quite far away from the city and can take more than 60-90 minutes by taxi (WON 75,000) and 90-120 minutes by buses (costing WON 17,000 per person). There are two terminal - T1 and T2.
Arrival (Terminal 1)

Arrival was smooth and immigration was very quick. Luggage’s came to belt quickly so service was good. They put tag on my bag. Don’t worry they just check it. You can take a he bus from Gate no 6.
Departure (Terminal 1)

Took taxi from city to come to airport. You can take free shuttle from Gate 8 to Terminal 2. Immigration may take sometime but security was quick. Terminal area is nice with lots of shops and lounges.

JAN 2024 ❤️ Both our arrival and departure 🛫 experience in Seoul’s international airport have been amazing 💙 the human staff and systems were all very efficient. Washrooms are clean and readily accessible even for passengers on wheelchair 🦽 there are also plenty of seats and duty-free shops available. If you need to eat, you can find both Asian and fast-food options depending on your mood :)
Incheon International Airport is the main international airport serving Seoul, the capital of South Korea. I was here 10 years ago, the place was so nice, clean, well organized and spacious. The airport has 5 floors including a basement. I didn’t stay longer because i need to go to a city tour. After the tour i went to the shower room which is located on the 4th floor was beautiful, very comfortable. Highly recommended!
It's a very spacious and clean airport. Due to the high volume of traffic, I recommend arriving about 4 hours before your flight. You should check whether your flight is from Terminal One or Two, as you will need to take the subeay accordingly. There are many restaurants and cafes inside. Despite being a very large airport, you don't feel it because its design is fantastic. I suggest taking the subway from the city center to the airport. You will reach the airport in about 1.5 hours. Pay attention to the Terminal One or Two stops before getting off the subway.
Eventhough Incheon is not the biggest airport in Asia, but definitely has one of the best hospitality services. During our transit flight, on the security checking before immigration gate, the officer is very friendly, asking how was your flight and where your next destination, even having small chat about hobbies when he saw me brought a portable gaming device. In the airport there are not many shop selling unique souvenirs, mostly selling FnB or travel kits.
The ambience is cozy, they have a good space and very clean. It's a little bit confusing at first but the staff made it easy. The bathroom is clean and very upscale.
The only annoying part was they put my carry-on bag as a check in because it was fully booked but if it concerns everybody safety I just adhere to it.
Over all it's a good Airport and good people around working.
