It was my first F1 GP.
The place is historical. As a Brazilian fan, going to the place where Ayrton Senna left this world was a heavy experience. There was no way to handle the tears. His memorial is something special, you must visit it.
I had the opportunity to see and listen to Sebastian Vettel drive Senna’s McLaren MP4 and words will not be enough to describe how it was.

A suggestion I may give to you if you’re going to the GP: Do not buy the general admission ticket. It simply doesn’t worth. Views are limited, it’s super crowded and you cannot have any overview of what is happening during the race.
Grandstands may be a plausible option.
Prices inside of the Autodromo is high. 7,50€ for a beer is a lot. Water you have for free, but the taste is terrible.
You can have an option to buy drinks from the locals, but do not expect to send less than 5€ in a beer.
Food options are there, but again… pricey.

If you want to walk around the circuit is a valid idea, but don’t do it while the f1 race is happening. You’ll miss a lot of it!!!

The entrance is pretty much easy to find.

Peak F1 in my opinion, beautiful track, take a walk around the full thing well worth it.

The experience was great because we love F1, but this autodromo needs some love. The general admission areas aren’t great, the restrooms were all filthy, people were smoking everywhere (including marijuana) and lots of drunk people just being dumb. There were police officers overseeing things, but I never saw them making anyone “behave.” If I decide to go back, I’d probably just go without my family.

Loved everything about visiting Imola for the Grand Prix. It’s definitely a fan friendly circuit. Enjoyed the constant party atmosphere which is unlike any other circuit I’ve been to.

The experience of watching formula 1 is magic, incredible, however the experience of using the services… are far from good. It needs a renovation urgently for the public.
The sponsors think only about the track and paddock (where the tv is showing) when the autódromo is complete disgusting around. The toilets are far away from be ok to use. The grandstand is also horrible. For the money turning around and the price we pay, a minimum of improvements are welcome.

Good visit, lots of history about the track. Been there on 1st of May and the track was fully open to visit. Accessible via a short walk from Imola train station.

We visited for the anniversary of Aryton Senna’s death and the track was open to visitors who were able to walk the track and visit the crash site. It was a beautiful way to pay respects and was well executed by the track organisers.
The track is easily walked from Imola train station.
