Unbelievably crowded , just like idumota market in Lagos . Here you get all your 🇬🇭 staples as a tourist or local - clothes , accessories, food , e.t.c
The market Women & men are quite welcoming however their prices are usually through the roof especially when they see you are not a local. So you have to haggle prices a lot ( start from 1/3 of the initial amount you are told). Some of the market people are very nice though .

I went to Feliz Amor shop in the complex and bought 6 yards of really nice cotton fabric at 140 cedies. She had very unique patterns of clothes and I was definitely spoilt for choice .

I also needed to buy bags made out of fabric and her daughter was helpful in taking me to another store to get it, that cost 70 cedies. We were able to get 3 avocados for 10 cedies. I also bought Ghana black soap for 12 cedies ( small size ). I was very intentional about taking souvenirs from 🇬🇭 home 😁.

I‘d recommend for anyone visiting Accra to experience this market before leaving.

It was pretty busy, but I managed to get everything I needed at a good price. The market vendors were really nice and helpful. Whenever I'm in Ghana, I always go there to pick up my stuff. It's cool that I could manage to cut the price down.

They have every single thing you could think of. And the prices were right you must barter for the best prices. But definitely wear great walking shoes.

Better walk in the makola market than use car. Thank me later

Unbelievably crowded. It's like a giant maze of twists, turns, and people bumping into you, stepping on your toes and not apologizing for it. It's stimulation overload. The parking garage is jammed with cars blocking one another in. It's more or less like organized car parking to the attendants.
