Very busy station,on the Westside there is chowpaty beach , marine drive and east side Mumbai's top most SAIFEE hospital and Hinduja college.
Gudi at gurgaun charni road is on of the best way to celebrate gudi padwa in mumbai. It has different groups of drum bands to perform from all over maharashtra. All the freedom fighters and gods are being worshipped. Most of the people wear traditional maharatran clothes. Many people wear costumes of mostly marathi warriors especially of shivaji maharaj. This also focus on women empowerment as you will find a rally of bikes all over the girgaun. There are different monuments rallied all over girgaun for example the drum groups etc
This railway station is situated in southernmost part of Mumbai in Western line. Next two major station is Marine lines in North and churchgate in south. Very neat and clean station. The famous girgaon chowpatty, Marine drive promenade, opera house is very nearby in the west of station. Saifee hospital which is in east of the station is very beautiful and state of art hospital.
