The Oculus Center in New York deeply resonated with me. Nestled next to the 9/11 Memorial, its unique winged design stands not just as an architectural masterpiece but as a beacon of hope. In the shadow of a tragedy that took so many lives, the Oculus serves as a poignant reminder of resilience and rebirth. The vast white interior isn’t just functional but seems to embrace visitors with its open arms, offering solace and reflection. Beyond its role as a transportation hub, it provides a space of remembrance and forward-looking optimism. It’s a profound experience that touches the soul, a testament to the indomitable spirit of New York and its people.

I was last near the 9/11 memorial in 2012 and it was a very solemn experience with active mourning still present in every crevice of this area. Today I am back and I feel the freedom in the air, the magnitude of time healing and the wonderment of people carrying on as we have always been taught within our humanity. Oh, and of course the Oculus is incredible & a must see for all who come to this area of NYC!

The Oculus Center and shopping mall is a true masterpiece of architecture brilliance. From the moment I stepped inside, I was utterly captivated by its grandeur and elegance. The massive expanse of marble throughout the building is absolutely stunning. This place offers an unforgettable experience, and what’s more impressive is that the admission is free! Wether you’re a tourist or a local, this a must-visit destination in the heart of New York City.
