Lovers Canal Cruises Amsterdam

We had a fun time on our canal tour in Amsterdam. The prices were reasonable and the staff were welcoming and friendly. I recommend Lovers for a fun activity on the water.

This was an huge disappointment. There is no tour guide or host. You just sit there with wired earphones listening to occasional announcements about the buildings (like a museum tour). There is ZERO charm or romance.

We had booked a 6 pm cruise that was ruined by a large group of schoolchildren on a trip. They were screaming and shouting the whole time. Instead of enjoying our time we were trapped on the boat for the hour!

The operator refused to issue a refund so we felt ripped off. You have been warned. Don’t waste your time or money on the Lovers river cruise.

We booked a 1 hr cruise as part of a bundle ticket with Body Worlds Museum. The guides were friendly and I liked the audio tour, it was very informative and interesting to learn the history of each area as you pass by. Beautiful views, would definitely book with this company again.

I recently took the Lover Canal Cruise in Amsterdam and it was a delightful experience. The boat itself was nice and comfortable. What impressed me the most was that they provided information in various languages, including Hindi, which was amazing and made the experience more inclusive.

The open windows allowed for a better view of the beautiful canals and surroundings. However, I did find the duration of the cruise to be quite short, which was a bit disappointing as I would have loved to spend more time taking in the sights.

Overall, the Lover Canal Cruise was really great, offering a unique perspective of Amsterdam's stunning canals. If you're looking for a relaxing and informative cruise, I would definitely recommend it.

Our tour package included a boat ride, for which we had to book a slot in advance. Experiencing the canals at night illuminated by lights was quite captivating. Each passenger was provided with earphones for an audio tour guide, and occasionally, the boat captain shared additional interesting facts. Although the boat had glass panels and some seating areas lacked windows, restricting photo opportunities, the scenic views were still enjoyable. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our boat ride.

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening canal cruise. We purchased our tickets from the terminal earlier in the day for a reasonable price. We booked for 7pm so that we could experience the canal in the light and the dark. We felt that this was a great choice as we watched the canal bridges light up for the evening! We were provided with headphones to listen to the tour guide in our own language; the information was informative and interesting. My friend felt that the tour answered her questions about the city and buildings. Be aware that the boat is closed and views out of the windows may be restricted at busy times. I would recommend sitting on the left side of the boat as the view seemed to be better. Nevertheless, we had a great time.
