The Souq is an amazing place to explore and discover new foods, clothing, perfumes and collectibles. Highly recommend that you visit in the evenings as it’s “cooler” and has more people. Definitely dress more conservatively and wear your comfortable shoes if you’re looking to walk around. They have tons of 5 star hotel restaurants, so you can dress up and check those out. They also have the popular Turkish ice-cream stand

Souq Waqif in Doha, Qatar, is a must-visit! It's a traditional market with a rich history and a vibrant atmosphere. You can explore the maze-like alleys filled with shops selling traditional garments, spices, handicrafts, and enjoy delicious local cuisine at the many restaurants. It's a cultural experience not to be missed!

It is very recommended to come at night. After sunset it vibes are warm and I feel safe even though it’s crowded. So many street food at night. Be prepared to bring some cash. Some souvenir’s shops accepted credit card payment. And event some local restaurants already accepted card payment.

It is very recommended to come at night. After sunset it becomes lively. I was here before during the afternoon and fasting season for a layover trip with Qatar Airways but it was almost empty. It was much nicer when I visited the second time for a longer layover so I can visit at night. And it was amazing. The vibes are warm and I feel safe even though it’s crowded. So many street food at night. Be prepared to bring some cash. Some souvenir’s shops accepted credit card payment. And event some local restaurants already accepted card payment.

This place is nice but felt a little bit over hyped. It's just like another market in the Indian subcontinent, nothing too fancy if you have grown up visiting this type of markets for regular needs. You will definitely find it attractive if you are coming from a western culture. It was Friday, so it was overcrowded, probably that's why I couldn't enjoy too much. But yes, you should visit this place if you are in Doha

For an unforgettable shopping and leisure experience, this place truly shines, especially after the sun sets. I made the mistake of visiting during the morning heat, but despite that, the charm of the place was evident. The vibrant energy and bustling atmosphere make it an ideal destination to explore under the moonlight. The warm weather during the day can be a challenge, but it's worth enduring for the magical ambiance that comes alive at night. Next time, I'll definitely plan my visit to coincide with the cooler evening hours to fully enjoy everything this place has to offer.

Great place of the old Doha. We primarily visited in the day and the markets were closed.
But we got a good look at the beautiful old buildings, the falcon hospital and a falcon sales place.
As Doha is all modern and state of the art, this area has retained a bit of the past.
If you are not planning of shopping the bazar, the afternoon maybe a good idea for a visit. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility.
