We had a dinner tonight, for if us, all had different food.
I should admit the service was very good and quick and everyone enjoyed their food but me 😄
I'd ordered a ribeye steak and it was nicely flavoured but absolutely tough and I was unable to eat most of it though tried to cut from different parts .
My husband's fillet steak was really good and chicken and salmon other had were delicious. But I left unpleasantly surprised with bad quality of mine.
The waiter had apologised but we were offered no even little discount and paid the full price although I returned most of my steak.
I understand that things like this happen sometimes but how they deal with it make a difference . I definitely expected better experience for £21.
Also I should add that tables there are not really big enough for 4 people and sitting were uncomfortable.

Valentines dinner. We booked late, and the staff could not of been more accommodating. Food was delicious . Large portions . Steak was one of the best either of us have had (rib eye and sirloin). Jacket potato was to die for !!
Service was prompt and friendly. Great meal great place.

A true gem in Edinburgh! This is a beautiful location with excellent food and service. The steaks were cooked perfectly, food well-seasoned, and wine selection was great. The staff were all friendly and attentive. The owner was also very friendly and kind. You could tell he truly went above and beyond to ensure everyone in the restaurant had a fabulous experience. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!

Amazing food, excellent service.
We’ve been there on Christmas Day. Instead of having lunch at the hotel we were looking for somewhere else to eat. I know we had to book in advance but we didn’t. Luckily we found that place. Everything was amazing food, wine, deserts the people. I can’t recommend more. If we visit Edinburgh again, we are definitely going back there. To be honest i looked for directions to see if there is another restaurant like this in the uk.

Wow wow wow!!! I brought my mom(from South Africa) to Edinburgh for 2days and we craved steak on our 2nd night, so I found this BEAUT around the corner from where we stayed. From the calamari starter, the chimichurri side, to the sauces, the wine... everything was just amazing. Our steaks were cooked beautifully, rare, and was SO soft. We went for the ribeye. The service was amazing, our waiters were so friendly and helpful, and passionate about their customers leaving happy. I can not recommend this restaurant enough. I wish it was closer to home(Gloucestershire)

Went here with my wife last night for dinner. I had a mixed grill for 1. It was the best mixed grill that I have had in years! Highly recommend it. Also the mixed side salad and dressing was banging!

Rancho is located in the busy West End of Edinburgh. As you can imagine, there is no parking outside the restaurant, but there is on street parking a short 5 minute walk away.

The restaurant is cosy and welcoming. It's definitely a small place and may feel slightly cramped when at its busiest ( it was quiet when we dined there ), but I'm sure this would only add to the ambience of the place.

The staff are all very friendly, helpful and tentative. Making us all feel very welcome.

The menu is varied, with a lot of different options to choose from. As a group, we opted for the chicken wings and spare ribs as our starter and steaks for the main course. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. Steaks come in small, medium, or large size. Large is exactly that ! It's a big bit of meat, so make sure you have an appetite if you order this. Sauces and sides cost extra.

For dessert, we ordered cheesecake, sticky toffee pudding, and some ice cream. Again, as we expected, these were all delicious.

I can't really fault Rancho. It did what I hoped it would. Served up some very tasty meals that filled us all up.

I'd definitely go back for another visit and would recommend the restaurant to others 👍
