Me sorprendió positivamente, aunque sea comida rápida. Hacen honor a su lema "kebabs done right". Son limpios, agradables, te llevan la comida a la mesa, ... además, las raciones son generosas y todo está bueno y a buen precio.

L'hotel è leggermente fuori dal centro ma i servizi pubblici sono ottimi. Parcheggio disponibile nel retro. La strada è abbastanza trafficata ma non era rumorosa la stanza. Camera di buone dimensioni, pulita ed ospitale. Il bagno in ordine. Necessario per farsi una bibita calda ed il bollitore. La cena nel ristorante mi ha deluso un pò, buona la colazione.

Hotel raggiungibile in pochi minuti in taxi dall' aeroporto di Edimburgo. Posizionato nella parte West della città è molto accogliente, personale gentilissimo e molto pulito. Il bagno della nostra camera era rinnovato con doccia, wc e lavello nuovi. Abbiamo dormito in 4 (2adulti+2bambini) 1 Double bed+1 sofà double bed.
Camera molto silenziosa e confortevole.
Punto forte dell' hotel è il ristorante al piano terra dove si può mangiare ottime pietanze locali. Lo stesso vale per la colazione a buffet.

This is a superb restaurant. Whether living in or visiting Edinburgh it is a must visit. Every meal is spectacular - Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. The staff are very friendly and the owners Victor and Carina are amazing. Just go and see for yourself. Now celebrating 20 years on George Street - Congratulations.

The food was really fresh, especially the starts were great. The gnocchi are definitely handmade but they lacked flavor. I can really recommend the Burrata and the spinach as a starter. The cocktails are really pricey but also really delicious. They had also a plant based menu what’s really cool. So you can have a full 3 course menu in vegan

Nice restaurant even on a busy weekend! Huge plates. Reasonable prices. Nice staff. Hamburger and Fish and Chips were very good! The haggis was good, but I tried it also in another place that was better (the flavor was more black pepper than lamb). The sauce containing whisky was good!

Having broken down right outside I used their facilities, and had a lovely chat with the staff/owner. A few hours later I went to get something to eat... mistake! I had hoped for fresh generous family Italian type food.. nothing could have been further from what I got and was charged £14.50 for this take away. So disappointing to see this kind of thing happen. It only made me more hangry.. shame on you 😔

Very good food there. We went to try the fish and chips and it was delicious! But as a Belgian, I would say that the fries could be a little bit better.
The menu is really big and diverse and the waiters were really nice!

Booked online, and was able to be seated early. We were sat upstairs and was looked after by a wonderful hostess but unfortunately didn't get her name. She was very patient and happily took our specific meal requests. We didn't have to wait very long for the food, and the milkshakes are amazing.

Fantastic restaurant, very clean, staff very friendly, helpful. I had there king rib supper & fried mars bar. Honestly I have had deep fried mars bars in various restaurants /chip shops... This was the best fried mars bar I have ever had, I was expecting the food to be slightly greasy... They definitely do not use trans fats in there oil. My only reservation is that it is very busy, with lots of chatter from surrounding tables... Apart from that I will definitely be visiting again. I will take photos of my food during my next visit

Beautiful restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere and fantastic staff, in particular the man who looked after me for most of the evening (I think his name is Enrique?) One of the best mojitos I've had, accompanied with some canapes to start. As a vegetarian I love to see and try something different that I've not seen in other restaurants and I wasn't disappointed by the Carciofi! Compliments to the bartender and the chef, everything was superb!

Three out of four times the food here has tasted delicious. Last time, unfortunately, the dining experience was not quite as good. The restaurant was out of haddock, the batter wasn't crispy, and the chips tasted like they were from the day before. A big advantage is that you can see the food being prepared. Although I had a bad experience, I can highly recommend City Restaurant.

Restaurant is lovely inside. We had a nice time. We were not really working to a budget but found the menu to be expensive and did not offer value for money. The wine list reflects this as the entry bottle of white comes in at £38 and goes upwards quickly.

Food was very tasty but not outstanding - the price point attached to it set expectations of grandeur but didn't deliver.

Atmosphere was lacking. Couldn't quite put our finger on it. I think the lack of atmospheric music lead to quite an empty loud echoey room which we described as sounding like a wetherspoons. Maybe some nice relaxing music to blend into the background would improve things.

Enjoyed the evening and the meal. Had a good time. But we wouldn't go again.

We had a great time at Contini. Food was great and service very good. Also, the place is pretty (I would say it is amazing for a date followed by good pasta and wine). Strongly recommend.

The atmosphere is cozy and charming. The food is simply spectacular; In spite of being a bit expensive. The staff is friendly and politely.

Visited Contini during a trip to Edinburgh. When you walk in, you're greeted by a beautiful atmosphere and ambiance. Ultra-high ceilings and the bar as a focal point of the room. I ordered the Pasta Olivia and a side of pomodori misti. Overall the dishes were good. They needed salt but the pasta was cooked well. For dessert, I got the cheese course which was a Gorganzola. Very mild in flavour but the grapes had seeds in them which ruined the dish. Also, the "crackers" were so thin, they contributed little to the dish. My server was average. She seldom checked on me and my meal and the "discretionary" service charge was added to the bill (as was the case in every restaurant I went to, not very "discretionary"). What was a little off putting was the servers were wearing t-shirts. With an establishment like Contini, I would expect servers to wear more formal uniforms.

We had booked a private room for our team Christmas party. The booking process was really good and Eilish and Stephanie had both been really helpful to make sure we had everything we needed and when there were any questions or changes it was easily dealt with.
On the night Natasha was incredibly attentive and always on hand to make sure we felt comfortable and relaxed within our private room. The food was really tasty and all served promptly, including making sure our colleague with dietary requirements were well catered for. Our Sicilian colleague was very happy with both the food and drink, which we all saw as really good. Well done to everyone for making our evening special and we look forward to returning in the future. Personally I've been to the restaurant a number of times for work, but also been to both the Scottish Cafe and Cannonball at the Castle. Thanks as always

We went on a Sunday at the back of 5pm. We booked in advance.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
We started with the Lentil Soup and the Tempura King Prawns.
My wife's Lentil Soup was served in a large bowl and she loved it. It came with 2 slices of nice bloomer bread. I had the Tempura King Prawns served with sweet chilli sauce. I absolutely loved the 5 King Prawns. The sweet chili sauce was not too sweet, but had a nice little kick. My wife had the Scampi and I had the Haddock for our mains. We had a side of Onion Rings to go with it. My Wifes Scampi was really nice. 9 large plump breaded scampi with a portion of mushy peas and a large portion of chips. My Haddock was nice. The flesh was white and clearly fresh. The batter was underdone for me and could have been a lot crispier, but was still really nice. The chips were really good as was the onion rings.
We were going to have a pudding. But we were full and would not have managed it. Disapointing as I wanted to try a deep fried mars bar for the first time. Even though we stay 15 miles from where it was invented and never tried it. With a Pint of Fanta Lemon, a Coke Zero and a pint of Birra Moretti came to £55.95 it was good value.
We will go back to City Restaurant, next time at Festival Theatre.

Lekkere worst en veel keuze qua worsten en saus. Lekkere Fish Pie. Minpunt bij de 'pie': op de menukaart stond 'with hand cut fries', maar die waren helaas nergens te bespeuren.
Overigens leuke setting, maar wc's niet zo proper.

Heerlijk

Matig eten, onvriendelijk personeel en aparte sfeer. Geen leuke avond gehad.

Onze gids Fraser had ons aangeraden om hier te komen. Leuke sfeer, heerlijke vegetarische opties, kindvriendelijk en zeer betaalbaar.
