A cosy cafe tucked at the 2nd floor of the Cluny Court. Walking distance from the Botanic Garden.
From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the perfect tone for a relaxing meal.
The menu is a delightful mix of fusion and inventive dishes that cater to a variety of tastes. They are mostly delicious. We enjoy most of them.
The coffee is exceptional, brewed to perfection. Service is friendly and attentive.

We can't stay here for long as they will start clearing up the table when the time is nearly up. 😂

We got the exotic har cheong frog leg, nachos with pulled beef, carbonara pasta. Would say nachos were the best. I personally didn't like the frog legs (too many bones) but my partner quite enjoyed it.

Thank you Chef Mel and Mr Abdillah! You have an amazing team in Permata. The event was showered and blessed with your wonderful, dedicated and successful team. We were deeply grateful for the special touches and grand gestures to make that small but joyous matrimony a successful one. The food was nothing short of amazing. Guests and families truly enjoyed the spread and syukur Alhamdulillah our family had the best intimate wedding at Permata. We cant thank you enough but pray for your future success. Insyaallah with such generosity and dedication Permata will prosper and continue its journey with ease. Ameen. May Allah swt return your kindness in His many miraculous ways. Thank you on behalf of the family and from the bottom of my heart for making my baby cousin’s nikah and celeb special. Thank you again Permata. You did amazing.
This was the first time our family dined in at Permata immediately we all love it.
The food were so delicious and fresh. Altho the spread seems not as much as others but the quality of the food were so good. The seafood especially flower crabs surprisingly fresh and meaty. The beef rendang were so tasty and tender. They also got chicken rice and mee siam. BBQ corner, Roti John, roti kirai, kueh pie tee, shakshuka, … and alot more. All so yummy, burst our tummy. 😂
The place were clean and the staffs were so attentive and friendly especially Zul who served our table very well.

Beautiful place. Very nostalgic and retro. Food is not the best but is definitely affordable and value for money. Especially for team meets or mass gathering. I heard they changed their menu often so it is definitely a good place to go for a monthly team meet lunch. Great service, very attentive and prompt. The portions are very friendly and ideal for buffet.
Their ikan bill chilli IS THE BEST I have eaten so far. FULL PIECE ikan bills with seductively spicy chillis. Not for the faint hearted.

Crabmeat linguine is delicious with many crab meat inside, the beef burger is also good, meat is juicy and bun is crispy. Fries is nice as well!

The direct, crisp tone that more than one staff had when asking me to make sure I didn't spill the coffee through the tables (no, I didn't), to push my seat in. etc... somehow left me feeling like I'm making a big mess and being a nuisance to them. Not to say that they were rude - but ... the manner they spoke was not really what I'd expected from a restaurant of this price.

This buffet serves Malay and Peranakan-style dishes that are flavorful and well-prepared. However, the prices are on the higher side. If you're looking for a taste of traditional Malay and Peranakan cuisine, this buffet might be a good option, but be prepared for the cost
Came here for dinner last night , the bbq sting ray , sharks fin, ginger fried chicken and hor fan is very good . Authentic old school Zi char .

We visited the restaurant to celebrate my sister's birthday. The majority of the dishes were exceptionally delectable. More importantly, they were to my parents' liking. The establishment offered a wide variety of dishes. I would recommend this establishment to individuals who prefer local cuisine. The staff members were cordial and welcoming.
A regular zichar beneath a HDB block, so dont expect much on service and ambience. Their food however has been consistent and tasty, great wok hey and generous with the side condiments, whatever you want and however many times you ask for a refill.
I only have positive things to say about our experience at Permata. The selection and quality of food – 100/100. No one asked but I am going to list my family’s favourites - the beef rendang, pengat durian, chilli crab and mantao (I kept going back to the station for more), shakshouka, satay and tandoori prawn.
Highlight of the night? The team surprised my mom with a birthday cake + ice cream, and sang ‘Happy Birthday’ with enthusiasm. A really thoughtful gesture, and we’re really grateful! Thank you Rinna, Tommy, Zul, Kaameash, Deva & Mandeep!

I wanted to visit the restaurant since viewing the reviews. The place is very ambience. More home feeling. The staff are friendly and helpful and prompt service. They are very welcoming 🙏. The food are excellent based on what I ordered from the buffet menu. But some are not as I expected maybe I am eating such fusion food firstly. The tandoori menu of chicken and prawns are excellent choices. The steak are good too. The fried chicken with lemon grass looks normal fried chicken. Small portions. The mutton soup is good choice and also the bread and mutton tulang. The gravy is a little sweet and not spicy as I thought. The dessert was pretty much good since I am not a good eater of dessert. The cendol was very good quality with melaka sugar goes well with the coconut milk. They have other items as mee soto and mee siam which I did not took. They had barramundi fish which i did not try too. The satay was very good but too cold. They have chicken and mutton. The 🦀 crab are too small and not much fleshy. That's was disappointed much. Overall I have no complaints about the quality they serve at the buffet menu. Well done 👏
Prawn paste chicken: just normal wings, no taste of prawn paste. Some wings tasted sour that I had to spit them out.
Mee goreng: nothing to wow about. I know of other places with better ones.
