Ayios ionis Ortodoks Rum kilisesi bahçesi çevresi çok temiz ve bakımlıydı geçerken uğradım birkaç fotoğraf çektim

I visited the monastry on Monday as I've been staying in Buyukada, the views are fantastic but my concern was a little black kitten in a
poor condition, please can someone living there help this poor little kitten and let me know. It sits on the wall waiting for people it's clearly starving I did what I could fed it etc.

Как и в любой  другой монастырь вход сюда не свободный.  Здесь живут и служат  служающие патриархии.  Нам разрешили зайти внутрь просто по удаче.  Внутри уютный дворик с памятником русским солдатам и маленькая церковь,  которая служит только для проживающих в монастыре.
Все чисто и  ухоженно. И это больше функционирует не как монастырь,  а именно резиденция для сотрудников греческой патриархии.

Büyük ve güzel bir Rum Ortodoks kilisesi.

The foundation of today's church building was laid in 1896 with the financial contribution of wealthy Greek families who came to the island for summer. This church, which is the work of Nikolaos Dimadis, the son of Konstantinos Dimadis, the architect of Fener Greek High School, was built in an eclectic style using french bricks.

It is one of the most elegant churches in Istanbul, especially in terms of exterior appearance. On July 11, 1899, it was opened to worship with the blessings of the former Greek patriarch, who was secluded in Antigoni.

The church, which is entered from a wide narthex, has a cross plan and a dome. The dome pulley, which is quite high, is seated on four thick pillars of the elephant foot type. The icon of Jesus is depicted inside the dome, and four archangels are depicted on the four pendentives holding the dome. The church's iconostasis, ambon, and despot's throne are all wooden. Many 20th-century icons adorn the church, made by Greek icon painters from Istanbul, E. Grammenopulos, Konstantin Dimarhopulos, and Vasilis Igumenidis.

The phrase "The Dungeon of Patriarch Methodios" (in Greek: I Filaki Tu Patriarhu Methodiu) is read on the door on the left side of the Narthex. From here, an 11-step staircase leads down to the dungeon where Patriarch Methosios was imprisoned for 7 years. Every year, on 14 June, a special service is held in memory of Patriarch Methodios.

Beautiful part that we were able to see but the main section was closed. We could only go into the foyer.
