Bacchanal Buffet in Caesars was an unmitigated disaster. If you have your heart set on an expensive buffet in Las Vegas, do not come here.
First, the reservation system is completely broken. You're expected to book a time in advance, but the time of your reservation only gives you the privilege *to stand in line for admission.* Who didn't teach this business what the word "reservation" means?
After arriving ten minutes early for our 4:30pm reservation, we waited over an hour just to spend $100+ per person for entry. Finally, buffet time, right?
NOPE. After you buy your entry, it's straight to the back of another line. Another 20+ minutes waiting to be seated is the next privilege they grant you.
Once seated, it's obvious the staff wants to be there even less than you by this point. Overworked, curt, and scattered. Thankfully, you only need to depend on them for drinks. Surely the food service at the buffet line is better, right?
NOPE. Incredibly rude staff behind the counter as well, with one staff member going so far as to threaten me for leaving an empty dish in the wrong place. (Yes, management was alerted).
The food itself was fine, an average 3/5, and good variety as should be expected for a buffet. Not bad, but definitely not worth the cost of admission.
However, when you sprinkle in the long waits, the disgruntled employees, and the general sense that you're paying a hefty price for subpar standards across the board, it's painfully obvious that visiting Bacchanal just isn't a good idea for any diner.
Seriously, unless you're actively seeking a bad time, avoid Bacchanal in favor of the many other dining options in the vicinity, buffet or otherwise.
