Hello to Medical Centre. I wanted to register here because I moved to this area . I have a fracture on my unkle and the lady from the reception told me very upset " we no longer register ,you have to go to another medical centre ". 😔😢

Human connection is getting harder and harder every day 😔

Very very bad service never help I not well I panic very bad I take pain kill tablets I run ou Saturday I’m waiting Monday order I tell I have pain too much please order today there said u waiting 48 hours please have too much pain right now please order pharmacy they are no I’m waiting 4 day without medication still never send order back to pharmacy I will go back there again waiting tomorrow the never help again this medical centre very very bad

Rude staff including the doctors and the receptionists, we paid the taxes but they never can do something for us. Every time I have to lose time from work to call for a appointment and when the appointment come they didn't call me. They are useless.

I’ve received recently message from Gp to book an appointment about my test results that they are very important for my health…
I’ve constantly called from 8.00 till 8.25 , 549 calls for the lady to tell me “we don’t have appointments call tomorrow or wait till April “” APRIL , for some test results to be read by the doctor, I can die till April with this people. Ok I said I will call tomorrow, I called today again from 8.00 till 8.16, 401 calls , for the lady there to tell me again to call tomorrow, no anpp today… Are you serious??? This is unacceptable , I mean if you really want to read the papers for me then call me , not me trying 3 days to make a stupid appointment for that. Why do you people ask for tests if you can’t read them to the patient, how good is that test is we can’t have them. Useless!!! Your app is not working, you have no appointments, why are you GP still if you can’t handle anything?? Really disappointed in everything about this GP surgery, if I could i would move from this one!

The GPs are fairly good and take my problems seriously. But the receptionists really do disappoint. They are never there at the desk, meaning you have to wait for ages for them to come. I’m a patient of Whitehouse Surgery, but sometimes my appointments are at this surgery too. In my last appointment, the GP asked me to provide a urine sample and give it to reception straight away (so it could be sent for testing on THAT day). I waited at the desk whilst 3 of the staff were just chatting away despite knowing I was standing there (in a lot of distress as well, the GP sent me to A&E). One of them eventually came over and I explained the sample situation. She started to say there are no nurses in and how she can’t take it. I explained that the doctor needs to send it today and just told me to hand it to a receptionist. She then agreed and took the sample. I waited ages for the results and called Whitehouse Surgery to see if they had come yet (it had been 2 weeks). They said it seems the receptionist never deposited the sample, let alone send it off! Now I have to provide another sample (but to Whitehouse thankfully) and wait again. This is unprofessional as an infection can easily spread to the kidneys. There’s no point in calling Neath Hill Health Centre because the receptionists never pick up. This all happened on 22nd February 2024.

The receptionist with the dark hair that was working this morning, needs to check her attitude. I was very polite with her asking her a very basic and simple question and she just came across as very abrupt, condescending and rude. It was completely unnecessary.

The receptionist doesn’t answer the phone and there is no music or anything from the other side of the phone it’s just quiet so not even sure if the phone if there is someone on the other end of the call

Just awful. been trying to get a prescription here for ages and the GP's don't care and do not even try to do their job. going to complain about this place. god knows they won't change though.

Unfortunately i didn't ask the name of the receptionist i eventually spoke to just after 6pm Monday 5th February but she was really unhelpful & actually downright rude,she is in the wrong job,no people skill at all.

The best GP center ever, as it's very easy to book an appointment for the day or the day after. I am registered elsewhere, where I could never secure an appointment for myself or my family, which is why we have decided to go private. My mum has been registered with them for the past 6 years and not even once we had an issue. The staff members are supper friendly and kind. We book her appointment or order her prescription via the app.

Managed to book appointment online yesterday for this morning have been prescribed medication required. Very helpful pleasant staff. Dr Nasiri was very reassuring, excellent, felt welcomed. Thank you.

I’ve been with this surgery for 11 years, they’ve always been so good, lots of doctors, fantastic nurses, experienced midwives. Now, it’s simply impossible to get an appointment, only if you come before 8 and queue. Before you could’ve called any time and would have been seen the same day no problem..

Sadly the practitioner I saw I felt was very passive aggressive in her manner. She chose to share with me her 2 conditions which she considered were the same as mine.( I wasn't there to have my condition compared to someone else's )
Although conditions can be put under the same condition. They can effect people differently. She pointed out that her conditions were much worse than mine . Going on to tell me that by placing my focus on my pain made it worse. I do understand the psychology of pain and pain management.
However I can assure her that my back pain is REAL.
Her belittling my condition wasn't very helpful and certainly didn't help .

Been a patient with the sovereign medical centre for 5 years now. But there is two big issues.

A receptionist which doesn't have respect for patients.

And the time in the morning trying to get a appointment, I know the system you use etc.. But please mico manage better. 👍👍

The team at Sovereign Medical Centre are truly amazing. Special thanks to Wendy who has been helping me above and beyond her job role for several months. Wendy could have said the situation was out of her control, but she treated me with respect and understood the urgency and has been chasing referrals at other departments. On two occasions now she has helped me get results that I was not able to achieve myself and I am truly grateful.
Wonderful doctors and friendly staff. Thank you.

Absolutely brillant practice , I've never had a problem getting through (yes at 8am you have to wait in a queue, but that's the same in most surgeries), staff are lovely , and polite 😀 😊
