This is the only place in jaipur that opens only on MAHASHIVRATRI ,means once I'm a year .
On that you can't explore fort because of very crowd. There is a small temple of lord Shiva . On that you can get only a glimpse of God . Thankyou
It’s an amazing fort. I was told that the king had got this fort made for his staff who were his army heads. Cooks. Etc and they used to live here with their families. Unfortunately it’s occupied by some families who have been living there since ages. The fort should be restored by the local ASI. tourism department and preserved. Or else it will fall apart in few years from now. Very nice forte
Only remains of the fort are left and devi temple.
Mostly the place has been occupied by the residents now. There was nothing left to watch
Heritage private property , without getting prior permission you can't visit
Actually Its not a fort to visit.
10-12 families built their houses inside the Fort and there is no board/direction for the Fort which clearly indicates the indifference of authority towards the fort.
the fort palace of maharani gayatri devi- who had her only son maharaj jagat staying there, a small but beautiful place. a typical small cute fort/ garh overlooking the city and the rambagh palace.
now it belongs to princess lalitya and her brother maharaj devraj.
sadly embroiled in a legal battle where the others want to snatch it from the rightful owners- the son and daughter of late maharaja jagat singh - son of rajmata gayatri dev.
hope fully it shall be free from the encrumbcenses and open to public to see the grandeur of the royalty of india. i wish we had never demolished this great heritage of india and helped them run their palaces and forts and attract tourism from all over the world. its a great industry.

what a great heritage and beauty the city of jaipur has infact all over india there are hundred of beautiful palaces and forts which could have been maintained and been a matter of pride and beauty for each city - town or village.
On the day of mahashivarathri I visited fort and took many captures of that day as part of memory -pictures made my day, loved that place-lord Shiva creation is simply superb-wounderful place to visit
It is the part of Jaipur dynasty kings, very big and beautiful fort mainly built to hide the treasure of the Jaipur state that's why it is called as Moti ( pearl) doongri ( mountain).
Open only on Maha shiv Ratri for all people of city because one shiv mandir is established inside the fort which looks from outside. Located on JLN road near to Birla temple. Entry is from back side. Well maintained by the staff of the fort.
