I’ve been under woolton house medical centre for 16 years. In 2011 Dr Morton checked my eyes after me complaining of migraines and sent me to alder hey where I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis without her thorough checks this might have been missed as I was only 15. Then when my mum became terminally ill all of the doctors and reception team were amazing they always came out to her and answered my requests, they even sent their condolences when she passed away and Dr O’Connor went above and beyond to make sure I wasn’t suffering with my mental health which made me feel like someone cared at my darkest moments. I’ve seen negative comments on here about the reception staff and I can’t say I agree with any of them, but what I can say is sometimes things are not as they seem and just because you are on hold for over ten minutes doesn’t mean they are chatting about personal things more than likely they are on the emergency line to a daughter like myself petrified that their terminally sick mother is deteriorating. Please before you make assumptions realise that their job is not easy, they do their best and sometimes they’re dealing with an emergency.
