The meat shop is a bit overpriced compared to other shops nearby.
Other groceries and vegetables are also expensive compared to other popular Asian stores in Reading (like Best foods, exotic etc.)

I have noticed people of color get followed around when shopping something that doesn't happen to others. I said it to a friend and they noticed it too. I don't recommend this store.

Upon confronting the staff, we received lackluster apologies accompanied by a dismissive attitude, especially from the individual working in the meat department. We’ve encountered instances where extra items mysteriously appear on our bill, only to be told it’s a ‘mistake’ when questioned. Even more concerning, when caught, the staff member either destroys the receipt or hastily pastes over it, attempting to cover their tracks. This behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the management’s oversight. Regrettably, this isn’t an isolated incident; several people within my social circle have fallen victim to this deceptive practice. It’s deeply disappointing and undermines trust in the establishment. Management urgently needs to address these issues to maintain customer loyalty and uphold integrity.
Note: That “Tandoori Chicken” in the attached receipt seems to be usual culprit in the meat section.

Check your receipts
Have received a lot of complaints from friends and comunity that they are being charged unfairly. Either wrong price is put for fresh veg and fruit or items scanned multiple times.
Even after complaints, nothing has been done.

Always check your receipt! The guy at the till quite regularly scans items two or three times, which adds a few pounds every time. I have asked him repeatedly about this, and he says he gets ''confused'' on how many items he has scanned. Terrible service, why on earth do they employ these people?
Very expensive. Wide variety, but poor products. Bought several bottles of drinks (Maaza and CocaCola) and all of them were incredibly dirty and had damage from rust around the mouth. Very poor.
