This museum has some exceptional pieces of computing history. The admission charge is very reasonable and the staff are all very passionate about the machines on display. We had an excellent tour around the Colossus computer and the oldest digital computer the Witch. Would have spent hours here if we hadn’t also crammed in the Bletchley park next door. Plenty of entertainment for the kids as well with the 1980’s retro area.
Lovely venue, lots to see and learn about the area's history.
Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Will definitely visit again.
Wonderful experience back in time when computing began. Impressive museum, very friendly and passionate stuff. We played a great escape room game and learnt more about the development of the museum. If you want to have a corporate meeting, function, or team play, don't hesitate to go book. If you are also passionate about volunteering and want to support the museum, please express your interest and support the museum and its mission.
Amazing place if you are interested in the Enigma/Bombe or Lorenzo/Colossus as the volunteer guides are very passionate and knowledgeable about the subject and bring it all to life. Plus all the machines are shown in working order.

If you have any interest in computers and technology you will love the museum of all things techy and the retro area where you play some of the old favourites like Atari. Only a small place but with lots packed into it.
If you’re into movies or TV, this is a great little visit.

There’s some really cool props and things you’ll have seen on the screen.

Photo ops are limited, but you can get some good mementos from where you are allowed to take photos.
Great little museum - we spent a couple of hours here with our 13yo and 10yo. Lots to see and plenty of working exhibits to look at. Some rooms are noisy, but I believe they have ear defenders available to lend for young visitors who might need them. Friendly, helpful volunteers are on hand to chat to you about the various large machines on site. Plenty of hands-on activities and working games computers to try out. Nice little cafe/shop offering sandwiches and drinks and a selection of books and merchandise at the end. It was a highlight of our trip!
So fun!!! What a cool experience. Stuff from Star wars, star trek, labyrinth, the dark crystal, Indiana Jones, marvel, Harry Potter, gremlins, lord of the rings.
I wanted to go because of Ludo from Labyrinth and it was so awesome seeing him!
You could take a couple pictures at their selfie stations but not throughout the whole museum which was sad but I understand keeping it all a secret!!
Highly recommend
Second visit of the year on my ticket. The fantastic thing about this place is that once you buy a ticket it lasts for 12 months. I have to say the resturant is not value for money and you can get a cheaper meal outside and return. The staff and voluteers are amazing and helpful.
Lovely little museum, I went during the Easter event and the historical actors knew their stuff about the practices they were exhibiting. The activities were good for young children and the exhibits about the railways were interesting
Love it here, so much pop culture memorabilia! The shop also has a great range of retro and vintage toys, models and merch. Well worth a visit.
Tickets cost around 10 Pounds per person, But you will get 1000 times of super cool experience! The way they are maintaining those large machines and the staff explanation was ultimate!
Recommended 💯
An absolutely fantastic day, exhibits are top notch covering the entire history of computing from the very beginning of code breaking in WWII

From the reconstructed Colossus to early mainframes and hands on with 80's micros, this has it all.

The staff are amazingly friendly and knowledgeable, cannot recommend a visit highly enough.
Awesome experience and lots of things to look at and get photos of also in specific areas.

Arcade offers loads of games to play aswell which was free so can't go wrong there.

Shop had snacks and so many figures etc to buy some of which are signed also. Along with other memorabilia items.

Worth walking round the museum more than once to make sure you get everything and enjoy the experience as much as possible. You get wrist bands also so that you can leave to go grab lunch etc and return later on also which is great.
This is a great place to visit.
If you bother to take your time to read the info provided and take in what you have the privilege to be looking at, you can easily spend a few hours.
Don't pay attention to poor reviews from people who causally walk through with no interest in the first place, then complain it only took 10 minutes. They're probably the same ones who go to the pictures, then spend the entire film texting. If you're a film fan, you'll really enjoy this place.
Great shopping centre very nearby with loads of eating places. Included wristband allows you to leave and re-enter the museum, if you wish.
Really friendly, volunteer ran and interesting day out.

Entry gives free unlimited return access for 12 months.

Lots of varied content. Some items could do with better signage, but only a minor complaint and the café is excellent I should add!
Different kind of museum I have seen in uk inside of the museum is made like a small ally with shops and all the victorian shops are there with actual people, the cobbler , post office , victorian kitchen , cinema and lots of interactive things are there. Seeing the museum is worth of money and you get a pass to visit the museum for a year

There was a new gallery but unfortunately it was closed when we visiting it
We thought it was great here. Lots of great props, models and outfits from many films. Photos are forbidden but there are areas where you can take selfies with the likes of Sully from Monsters Inc and the GOT chair.
There is an entire section with Star Wars memorabilia and the wall of toys is quite impressive.
Some areas are a bit bare but they do tell you this is because they are updating sections.
Your pass allows you to go round as many times as you like. There is plenty of parking right next to it and the staff were very friendly.
Most of the inside you cannot take photos except at designated photo point, the ones not included here are the Game of Thrones throne that you can sit on, a TARDIS console and Sully.

It is fairly expensive at £15.50 if you include the service charge for paying online as we got round in about 1hr 15mins. They are however apparently expanding this year so it will double in size, which would be good!

Parking is readily accessible outside, 50p/HR in the purple zone which is excellent.

There is a lift up to the museum and an accessible loo on the ground floor, that requires a code. The museum itself is all one level and as it's a one way system shouldn't be too much difficulty getting round. I imagine that if you were to stop in a wheelchair people would not be able to get around in some places.

Staff are super friendly. The merchandise is quite expensive, as someone who doesn't buy that sort of thing normally, but there are several bits that are signed including FunkoPops and photographs.
An interesting sci-fi museum with various props etc from programs such as Doctor Who, Blake 7 and films including Star Wars, Indiana Jones to name a few. Allow approx 1-2 hours for your visit, the museum is slightly amateurish, with a lack of descriptions on props, poorly cleaned display boxes etc. A good shop at the end for the true fans. However overall good fun to see the props, and only a stone throw from the Centre MK. Photos are limited to a few selfie spots. We didn’t try the arcade zone next door which is owned separately and costs extra.
