Very nice attraction. Ideal for a family day out. Great little miniature steam railway that takes you on a good length ride into the woods (spotted a deer!). Fairy grotto extensive (!) The site was so pleasant it's a shame you can't pay a lesser fee (excluding the train ride) if you just want to bring the family for a picnic.

A great place for families - a 20/25 minute steam train ride, a fantastic play area, and a lovely woodland walk, with fairy houses. I did think it was expensive (£49 for a family of 4), but we enjoyed our morning. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We saved money on food and drinks by taking a picnic, which is really well catered for with large covered areas, and picnic benches. The parking was a little unclear, but there are staff on hand to help.

Amazing day out for those who like trains or even newbies, myself was new to it and enjoyed every minute of it and had to soak it in to get to know it, feels like playing RCT.

Lovely minature steam train ride. Lots for kids to look out for. The fairy woodland walk is marvellous with little fairy houses to delight all ages. Also a cafe and picnic area. Will go again.

I can highly recommend Café Cornell; its staff and students are courteous and very friendly. It is a community-based café giving training to folks with disabilities. The food is very good, as is their coffee. They provide gluten-free bread and other gluten free food; the gluten free sticky toffee pudding is excellent. I have had breakfast and lunch in the café, with my husband and occasionally with other family members. You should book ahead as they are very busy, which means sometimes the wait is a little longer, but the food is cooked to order and well worth waiting for.

Love this place to eat , what they do for the community is just amazing

Ordered coconut hot chocolate.

The lady making the drink pulled a big jug from underneath the cups and started to pour.

Awful, I did ask another lady who said the drinks should be made fresh. She then proceeded to make me the right drink!!

Messy store, one of the staff that regularly makes the coffee’s is really sloppy and messy, and hygiene is below standards. Their work efficiency is less than satisfactory. They also overfill the coffee cups so you end up spilling your takeaway cup. The sweetener stand is always unhygienic. The lid in the image attached shows how overfilled it is.

We had a fantastic Easter Sunday here. So beautiful and enchanting. A huge amount of time, dedication and effort has gone into making everything magical. Only negative is that the gift shop is extremely expensive so avoid if you're watching your pennies 🐣

And the staff were wonderful too😁

First visit and will def be back. Food delicious, staff very friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed the ambience.

I don't think many realise that this cafe is also open to the public. Staff work extremely hard and are supported by lotto fund etc giving ppl an opportunity to work in the catering trade. Booking advised, especially Thursdays and Fridays

Initially, the service was good when the guy took my order and prepared my cappuccino.

When I had forgotten to ask for a stirrer, I came back and the guy ignored me completely and didn't even look in my direction when I was right in his direction. I had to hold back and felt annoyed. The other guy couldn't have been bothered to help me. I then repeatedly again asked nicely, he eventually helped me but it shouldn't have been that hard and spoke to me coldly and was not very warm. This was such a let down!

We went along on sing along day. And was just beautiful . Atmosphere was so friendly and warm and the stars are the staff who light up the room

Had a cup of tea here one weekday during school holidays.
Cafe was decorated for Halloween.
Place was empty, bearing in mind this is inside a retirement/care home.
Service was very quick. A couple of staff said hello and briefly chatted to my brother (who they knew as a resident there).

We did not eat here today.

We were told on a previous occasion that they do not accept dogs in the cafe area and there is now no longer an option to eat in the lounge area with your dog because of cleaning the area afterwards.

There were items for sale.

Great value for money, speedy service and delicious food. Will definitely come back soon 😋

Haven’t got a warm and not-too-flaky scone for a while :) I should have chosen some stronger, more traditional tea instead of the festive fruit one though.
