Very disappointing. Carvery cold. Roast Potatoes were stood too long to cut into n had a not so nice taste. Gravy cold so could taste the gravy granule/powder. Not sure how vegetables were a I didn't like what was on th carvery. Me n mate had looked forward to a long awaited visit.

Both the food and the staff are lovely here.
I would definitely eat here again if visiting Marton. A well earned 5 stars

Fish and chips were great. Real ale was great too.

Visited here after work today with my partner. I was very impressed. Lovely atmosphere in the pub, we was greeted by Emma. She was very attentive and polite! Food was also really nice and quick service- exactly what we wanted after a long week at work 👍🏼

We visited yesterday with 3 young children, we were seated straight away by vikki who was very helpful and extremely professional.
Me and my partner had a carvery and the kids ordered something off the bar menu, which they all enjoyed. The service was quick the food was hot and delicious and once again the service from Vikki was top draw we will definitely be returning

Booked a table for a 4pm sitting, first impressions, very clean, very nice staff upon arrival. Made our food and drink order via the app for Marsden pubs, upon conformation of the drinks, the bar manager came across to apologise that the wine ordered was no longer in stock, and offered a substitute which was very nice. The food was awesome, lovely soft bread buns and crispy onion rings .

Ĥave,nt been here in accouple of years as I felt it had gone down hill ...but we tried it again last night ,it is now a nice place to go to with a much better menu Loved the food ,and as a real ale lover I was spoilt for choice .....we will go back soon

Went for 2 meals using a 30% off voucher. 2 drinks ( not cheap). Carvery perfectly ok. Mixed grill requirements not as ordered. Had to have steak removed and recooked ( same piece). Still slightly underdone. However ate. This is a problem in the majority of chains. Unfortunate but expected unfortunately. Still overall experience was fine. Thank you.

As a family, we used to regularly visit, until we visited one Monday to a very sad looking carvery and very little menu choice. We were told it was because the Sunday had been busy, which is a poor excuse for bad management and planning.
My son requested his 6th birthday tea here, so we went. The food quality had improved, the carvery was well stocked and fresh, the menu options good and food arrived quickly. The experience was much improved on our last visit but still some way to go to earn my loyalty. I think the lack of people in the establishment tells me that it is not just me, this venue used to be full at tea times.

Before I proceed, I must take into account, that we have more than 10 years of experience in hospitality (IT side, and my Misses worked as a Restaurant Manager for quite a while). We received a leaflet from the place, so My Misses and I decided to give it a try. They are also the closest pub to us. We visited the place on a Wednesday evening. The place was quiet (had around 20 guests in). On first impression, when we walked in and headed to the bar to order some drinks there were no staff there. Quite disappointing. We had to wait around 10 minutes just to be able to order our drinks where there weren't any queue... The staff We had our drinks and placed our food order. One mixed grill plate and one Cheeseburger menu and a dessert. The food was served on time (around 20-25 minutes), and the plates looked nice. The Cheeseburger was average, no complaints, value for money. Unfortunately, I have doubts about the mixed grill plate. The vegetables, chips and chicken breast was perfect and delicious. The gammon steak was average, value for money. The rump steak was terrible. I was only able to even cut the "medium" steak with the knife provided about the 15th time. Just tried a small bite, it was even hard to chew. My worst steak experience ever. I decided to take it home for our dog. Took her a while to even get a bit off (I wanted to upload a video of this, but google doesn't let me...). After finishing our meal, we spent about 15 minutes at the table but our dessert wasn't ready that time. We went to the bar to ask where is it, but there weren't any staff at the bar again... We go out for a smoke, on the way back we tried again, we waited about 5-10 minutes again, just for a staff member. We had been advised that our dessert is ready, and will be served straight away, this serving took 10 minutes... The staff was very polite and helpful when they appear... The place will learn the hard way, it is so unprofessional to spend money on advertisement, when they don't go the extra mile for their new customers. We will definitely choose more experienced and professional places in Scunthorpe, also I have to mention they are not the cheapest.
