Nothing great off season. Do your best to skip it if you can. Nice free audioguide fron the Potsdam office is worth using.

A pleasant historical part of Potsdam, architecture heavily influenced by Dutch immigrants in the 17th and 18th century. Lots of boutique shops and restaurants to choose from. There is street parking but I would recommend the Parkhaus nearby.
One of the greatest parks ever. But bring your own snacks and a bottle of whatever as there is almost no restaurants and no place to buy anything.
Ein sehr schöner Ort mit verschiedenen Pflanzen. Es gibt auch mehrere Tische zum Sitzen, WC und Snackautomaten. Lohnt sich vermutlich mehr im Frühling/Sommer.
Okazały portal będący bramą do parku Sanssouci, który został wybudowany w 1747 roku na polecenie króla Prus Fryderyka Wielkiego. Początkowo było to wyłącznie wyjście z parku, dlatego widoczne figury bogini kwiatów - Flory i bogini owoców - Pomony, skierowane są do wnętrza parku, aby móc żegnać odjeżdżających gości. Oprócz tych pięknych rzeźb, po obu stronach portalu zostały ustawione okazałe korynckie kolumny (po cztery z każdej ze stron), a wchodząc tym wejściem, ujrzymy w oddali bardzo okazały Neues Palais.
Einen Abstecher wert, auch durch die unmittelbare Nähe zum Schloss. Eintritt für geringes Geld und die Mitarbeiter sind auch total freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Better at evening, just walk around beautiful place
Beautiful park with gorgeous building and beautiful gardens, even in the winter! Definitely take the time to peruse this park and the surrounding area for amazing sights!
At first moment, i thought i am in Holland when i am standing in the middle of this area 😂. Fantastic, and you can eat and drink everywhere, so many good cafe and restaurants here.
An gorgeous UNESCO protected park enjoyable in any season. Sculptures protected under wooden covers during winter until end spring. Viewable End Spring until end Autumn. NB sledding on hills not allowed when it’s snowy and no picnics on the open fields for some reason. Shame, but otherwise well worth a visit.
Full of charm, nice boutiques and restaurants, 120 lovely houses in a calm atmosphere! for a nice stroll after Sans Souci palace and park! Top!

The old market square got its current shape in the 1750s under the reign of King Frederick the Great. The King was a cosmopolitan monarch and tried to display prominent pieces of the world's architecture in his residence. Thanks to "The Old Fritz", Potsdam today proudly displays examples of French, Italian, Russian, English, Turkish, Chinese, Egyptian and even Australian architecture. And it all started here:
A visit to the Palace of Sanssouci is an experience of going back in time. The Palace is much as it was when occupied so long ago. There is an admission fee and should you be planning to also visit other sites in the area, be sure to check if there is a combined ticket.
We visited in December and one should note this was a summer palace -- there is no heat and this palace was kept as it was originally. The grounds are beautiful and we can only imagine the greater beauty during the warmer months.

Mooi slot, zeker de moeite van bekijken waard
Arrived super early in the morning and proved to be such a relaxing walk. You can find many early birds jogging around the grounds or walking their dogs.
There's maps with different colored trails and even estimated times for each one but we decided to just go with the flow and fall in love with nature. Even though we went during the last week of November I'd say it was definitely worth it with an amazing autumnal vibe. Leaves were still falling and we did get some rain so make sure to also bring an umbrella!

Potsdam is a beautiful city . Lots of great shops and a fantastic museum for film and arts . Many Hollywood films were made here .Also German films from the 30s. Its well worth a visit also close by are the brilliant palaces of Fredrick 2nd the prussian king 1750s.
As potsdam was in the east of Old Germany you'll see the Russian influence also .

Its such an iconic landmark and a good location to get some photos and is within walking distance of the Reichstag building and Tiergarten.
Mooi en groot park waar de vroegere koning gewoond heeft. Er staan hier inmens grote gebouwen met veel versieringen
La plaza del Mercado Viejo de Postdam e pueden visitar varios lugares de interés como es este caso del Obelisco. Fue erigido bajo el reinado de Federico II, alcanza una altura de 25 mts, se encuentra enfrente de la Iglesia de San Nicolás. Durante el bombardeo de 1945 fue gravemente dañado, fue desmantelado para su reconstrucción en 1978, está construido con mármol rojo de Siberia y mármol blanco de Macedonia del Norte.
De gebouwen rondom paleis sans soucis die grotendeels door Frederik de tweede van Pruisen zijn neergezet en ingericht geven een goed beeld van wat een 18de eeuwse vorst allemaal voor elkaar kon krijgen. Veel kunst en overweldigende interieurs.
Mooie buitenplaats op een zeer groot landschapspark met meerdere te bezoeken gebouwen.
Ein tolles Kleinod von Pflanzen mitten im Schlosspark. Hier kann man viele verschiedene Pflanzen anschauen. Zu jeder Jahreszeit einen Spaziergang wert.
En la Plaza principal de Potsdam. Bien vale detenerse un rato en las inmediaciones. Catedral, museos
Het was mooi maar de tour was super kort. Toen je net in het verhaal kwam was het al gedaan. Prijskaartje versus kasteel was er net over!
Dieser Ort ist so wunderbar und schön anzusehen. Im Park gibt es Spiele für Kinder, einen Fußballplatz, Tischtennis und eine weite offene und einladende Natur. Vergessen Sie jedoch nicht, vor dem Eintritt zu bezahlen, da dies nicht kostenlos ist. Ich hätte mir gewünscht, dass wir nur bezahlen, wenn wir einen Verstoß begehen oder wenn etwas verdorben ist. Außerdem schlage ich vor, dass er mehr Tischtennis Platten hat ...
Geweldig groot park en zeer mooie gebouwen … volgende keer overnacht ik in Potsdam en vanuit daar naar Berlijn .. niet ver en je bent er zo
Ο οβελίσκος στο Alter Markt δημιουργήθηκε μεταξύ 1753 και 1755 με βάση ένα σχέδιο του Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff . Φτάνει σε ύψος σχεδόν τα 25 μέτρα. Ο οβελίσκος που ανεγέρθηκε υπό τον βασιλιά Friedrich II , όπως οι γύρω προσόψεις των δημαρχιακών σπιτιών, του δημαρχείου και του Nikolaikirche, που δημιουργήθηκαν ως επί το πλείστον μετά από ιταλικά μοντέλα του 1750, ήταν μέρος του επανασχεδιασμού του Alter Markt σε τετράγωνο με ρωμαϊκά μοτίβα. Ο οβελίσκος, που υπέστη σοβαρές ζημιές από τους βομβαρδισμούς της 14ης Απριλίου 1945, αποσυναρμολογήθηκε στη βάση το 1969 και ξαναχτίστηκε το 1978/79 χρησιμοποιώντας κόκκινο μάρμαρο από τη Σιβηρία και λευκό μάρμαρο από τη Βόρεια Μακεδονία
Am Alten Markt sucht man vergebens einen Markt- findet aber ein herrliches Bau-Ensemble zwischen Stadtschloss, St. Nikolai, Altem Rathaus, Museum Barberini, zentral dieser Obelisk, dem die Spitze noch fehlt: schön restauriert!
Prachtig paleis! De audiotour is erg leuk omdat je zo veel meer informatie krijgt die je anders als je er zelf doorheen zou lopen niet mee zou krijgen. Dit maakt je bezoek toch wel veel leuker!

uninteressanter Restgrünbereich mit unmotivierter Wegeführung und "Wildpark-Chrakter". Allerdings in top Lage (nahe Hauptbahnhof) mit viel Entwicklungspotential zwischen Wohngebiet (Humboldtring) und Gartendenkmal (Freundschaftsinsel).Holzdecks im Uferbereich ermöglichen die Wildtierbeobachtung: zahlreiche Vogelarten nisten, Biber sind aktiv. Die Nuthe trifft auf die Havel.
