Statue of famed fairytale author Hans Christian Anderson at the edge of the central square. It's tucked into the corner along a busy sidewalk, but worth stopping to take a picture. It's a well regarded tribute to the story maker.
The Statue of Hans Christian Andersen, located in the heart of Copenhagen, is a whimsical tribute to the renowned fairy tale author. The bronze statue captures Andersen's storytelling spirit, depicting him seated on a park bench with an open book. Surrounded by a charming atmosphere, the statue invites passersby to immerse themselves in the enchanting world of Andersen's literary legacy. It's a delightful spot for a photo op and a fitting homage to one of Denmark's most beloved storytellers, making it a must-visit for literature enthusiasts and those exploring the cultural treasures of Copenhagen.
The Museum of Copenhagen is a captivating journey through the city's rich history, beautifully presented exhibits, and engaging displays, providing visitors with an immersive experience that vividly captures the essence of Copenhagen's cultural tapestry. The free English tour at 11 o'clock is a valuable addition, offering insightful perspectives on the museum's highlights and enhancing the overall visit. A must-visit for history enthusiasts and those seeking a deeper connection to the heart of this vibrant city.
A very good place to spend time here on a cold day! We were at a movie about the stars, and we really liked it. Headphones with automatic translation into English are available for free. We were left with a very pleasant impression. The only drawback is the lack of a cafe in the building. It was cold, and we didn't want to go out for a snack. But it would be nice if there was a coffee shop with lunches there.
The museum is very informative and filled with a lot of old collections of artifacts. It's free on Wednesdays and during winter not many people were around early morning.
Must see in Copenhagen. Christian Andersen's fairytales are unique and it was good to take a picture with him :)
