There’s a lot of construction going on right now. You pay a federal park entrance fee then an additional fee to enter to the ruins/beach. There are “public beaches” after you pay the federal entrance fee. It’s a lot to do by foot. Recommend a bike or scooter or find someplace else to go to 😊 soon there will be shuttles but not quite yet. There are big faucets that dispense drinking water at each rest stop.

Etwas kompliziert beim Ticketkauf.
Such a nice place with such a bad service. As a tourist you are here only to pay and pay and pay.. Many scams on entrance, they force you to pay for parking places and guide, then you have to pay for entrance to the national park, than second fee for the ruins entrance..they do not except credit cards! No notice before you enter the nation park. You can not take any yours bottle of water, only the one, they sell in the place.. There is no more friendly Mexico. So sad in such a nice country.

Great place for a half day trip if you are just seeing the ruins. There are places to eat and drink. Plenty of souvenirs to buy. Over all was fun!
No plastic bottles inside the ruins!

Incredible and awesome. You need to go and see.
Cenotes are also a great attraction nearby.
Very hot at noon, go early in the morning. Bring water and bathrooms are only at entrance which is not highly convenient. Beware of that.
This is a scam, drive past this place and don't let them stop you. Do not pay them. The actual parking is just ahead, there is a entrance with a barrier gate where you get an official parking ticket, then you pay when you leave at the same barrier gate. $150 mex pesos

Zona Archeologica molto nota. Prezzi ragionevoli.

Incredible piece of history to explore. I recommend going through with a tour guide to get the full experience. Do note that they do not allow plastic cap bottles into the ruins (reusable water bottles okay, they didn't have an issue with our sunscreen/bug spray either)
Tulum national park is a beautiful place to visit. A lot of Mayan history, architecture, and ocean views to take in. I went on a guided tour that took 2 hours which in my opinion was plenty of time to see and take pictures. There are no restrooms or food stands inside the park so make sure you do this before you enter. I highly recommend going if you are thinking about it.

İncredible Mayan ruins with a rich history. Excellent views over the Caribbean, and lots of iguanas running around! Go with a guide to get the most out of it. Ours pointed out things we would never have picked up by ourselves.

Great walking trails even surfaces and some areas stairs recommend umbrella for the sun.
Tulum ruins above the crystal clear sea such a magnificent view that will stay wirh you. After you park the car at the parking, you will have to walk quite a long way. It can get very hot, so make sure to bring water. We were there in february and it was very hot. The beach beneath the ruins is closed. For the view from sea side you can rent a boat that will take you from nearby beaches to see the ruins from the sea side and then they can also take you snorkling, to see stingrays and turtles.

It's a interesting archeological site, with awesome views and cool structures. Things to note, it is very hot with little shade, and significant amounts of walking. Highly recommend a sun umbrella, and the experience will be vastly improved with a knowledgeable tour guide!

It was beautiful to see the ruins, and the crystal clear blue sea was directly behind the park. Upgrades are being done to the walking path. The eating areas and shops were nice, with clean restrooms. A mariachi trio played as we exited, what a treat!

It’s a very interesting place to see ancient Mayan ruins right next to the beach.
Caution: you cannot take any plastic bottles inside, there are no places to buy water inside, and the spring and summer are extremely hot.
Signs could be better, but the place is lovely.
Many people will try to sell you tickets that include additional tours. We took one that included a boat ride to see the ruins from the sea and a quick swim with the sea turtles, which was amazing, but you could buy the tickets to the ruins only. It’s right next to the beach.

Tip for entry: just go to entrance if you want to see the site with no guide/boating etc.

It is so nice that once you enter the site there are no vendors like Chichen Itza. It allows you to be present and take everything in.

Beautiful and right beside the ocean. Tons of iguanas and wildlife and just absolutely gorgeous.

Absolute amazing experience!!! Literally from the time you walk in, til you leave! Checkin was quick & easy, drinks were great, food was great, staff was great & Candy the air host was amazing! She took some amazing pictures of me & the sunset. BOOK‼️
Loved my experience here! We booked on advance and we lucky to pick a time where we were the only ones in time slot. You can get a drink in a fruit to have on the ride. The view is unmatched for Tulum and a great overall experience. Our host took pictures and videos for us, and was able to even give us information on what we were viewing. I recommend booking in advance.
Awesome to visit and see the ruins, but could be better organized. There are a lot of people trying to sell you on stuff that aren’t the official ticket booth, and the layout is a bit confusing. The ruins themselves are pretty cool and well preserved. We found a guide on an app and used that rather than paying for a private guide. Was very packed on a Monday morning around 10 AM.

A lovely set of ruins but with a few drawback to the experience. The ruins are impressive and the site itself well maintained. If you have a guide they will explain the history and point out some of the interesting architectural delights that is part of the Mayan ruins. Some of the sculptures are well maintained. To keep everything well maintained, the key buildings are roped off (only the local lizards can pass). That goes double for the local beach which is beautiful but inaccessible. One of the main reasons is the rubbish that littered it so beware that you won't be able to bring plastic bottles into the site. There's not much shade so bring a hat but the tour we were on wasn't that long. Outside the site, you'll find they are building a nice pathway to the ruins and there may be a wait to gain access. Where the car park is you'll find also the usual tourist shops, an original Mayan Starbucks and Hagan Dazs. It's probably best to come with a tour group just from a transport perspective as it doesn't look very accessible to those without the local knowledge. Still the ruins are impressive and it's a good half day out. Just was expecting a little more.

Had so much fun at Tulum Tower! Candy was the best host. She had so much energy, great music choices, and not to mention it was her birthday 🥳 I was also celebrating my birthday and didn’t know what to expect out of this experience but I could definitely say it’s a nine out of 10 only because I didn’t try the food
Cant describe how amazing this place is. Just the Ruins themselves are overwhelming. The view to the ocean is beautiful. If you can, get a guide to tell you the history of this place. Highly recommended.
Highly recommend this ancient Mayan ruins as it’s a phenomenal snapshot in history. Site was very visitor friendly, although not everywhere was accessible as there were renovations going on at the time of the visit. That being said the view of the ocean and historical significance of this site made it all the worthwhile. A must see and checking this, exciting and visually impressive site out is essential.
Definitely needs some improvement. The parking lot is pretty far away from the ruins and is very hot. Needs more shade.
Quite a busy spot, it is recommended to hire a guide, otherwise you’ll finish wandering around pretty quickly. $150 for parking, $112 per person for the beaches and $95 per person for the ruins.

Magnifique à voir absolument
A couple things to know here.
Do not get caught up buying more expensive and not legit "ticket" sellers out of the official gates. Just go in and park your car or bike and purchase tickets from the gates.

There is a large area of vendors and such before you go into the park. Some retail and some people selling photos to take with birds and monkeys. And if you don't have pesos you'll have to get them here to pay entrance to ruins.

You need to buy a pass for the park, it's a wrist band and you can use a card for this purchase. This is a small stand to the right of the entrance to park.

You cannot bring plastic bottles of water or food. So get rid of them before you start the walk to the ruins.

You then will need a ticket to get into the ruins part of the park. This ticket needs to be bought in pesos. They will not take usd and do not take a card. You buy this ticket at a building on the right and usually has some sort of line. Again you need pesos and they do not offer change. They also offer private tour guides that you can hire there and price depends on group size and those tours are about 1 hour.

Entrance to the park is around 60 pesos (again you can use card here) Entrance to the ruins is around 100 pesos. So if you're doing it right and follow directions you can see the cost here is much lower than those stands at the entrance or the tours that are led.

You are then able to explore the ruins on your own pace and there are lots of signs and great reads about the ruins. There is also very little shade and only a few places to sit so plan accordingly.

You can no longer get to the beach from the steps from the back of the ruins. There is a other entrance for that down a longer road and does have an additional cost ( I don't know what that cost is as we didn't go)

As of January 2024 they are doing a lot of work on the area tons of construction and improvements. I did put a couple of photos as an example.
Such amazing history! 9 of us took a guided English speaking tour through the ruins which I highly recommend so you get all the details on the various buildings as well the overall site and surrounding area. Our tour guide, Josu (Josh) filled our heads with thorough history and did an excellent job in doing so. Extremely personable and knowledgeable! It was hot and humid when we went (1/19/24, 86 degrees and 89% humidity) but absolutely worth powering through the 1 1/2 journey to see this incredible piece of history! Tons of shopping and places to get food at drinks at the end.
Nice place with an artist and local market sometimes. In the evening you can get some delicious elote and marquesita!
With the ancient ruins as a backdrop, the turquoise waters and soft sands create a mesmerizing setting. It's like stepping into a postcard. Whether you're exploring the ruins or relaxing by the sea, this beach is a captivating blend of history and natural beauty. A must-visit spot that perfectly captures the essence of Tulum's charm.

Such a cool experience! I would highly recommend checking this out if you are not afraid of heights! It was so much fun! The tower thing went up about 120ft and we were able to enjoy our meal with the amazing view of the area. They also had karaoke for anyone who wanted to sing their favorite song. It was a wonderful vibe and everyone was very kind. The food was actually pretty good as well. I ordered the shrimp ceviche and it was absolutely amazing!! Super flavorful and the portion size was decent.

Beautiful spot and good shopping for souvenirs at the entrance! Definitely get there at 8am when it opens because it’s best to see this place at sunrise, also there is way less people. If you go to the shops at the entrance, never pay full price. Always negotiate down.
Very nice setting.
Go early. It opens at 8am - it's still busy but not as bad as going at 10am - when extremely long queues start
Nice place were adults sleep on the kids playground
Amazing Day of the dead event.
