A magnificent temple.
If you are in Belgrade I would definitely advise to visit.
The place has also a crypt beneath that at the moment is closedto public.

The fortress was amazing, well preserved and restored. All audio and video guides were in multiple languages. We visited only the zone 1 since we aren't very fit.
Overall, excellent experience.

Destined to be a major religious landmark in the western world.
Didnt think that the current generation of craftsmen could recreate the splendor of the past. Obviously they succeeded and on a grander scale.

A unique museum collection presented in a professional manner. I recommend it to families with children, but not only, for the interactive part that offers unique experiences. You can't buy tickets in advance from the pavements, you can't pay the visitation fee with a card or cash with euros, only in the local currency, which leads to the formation of queues and very long waiting times, we waited 2 hours. The tour is guided, and access is done once an hour and maximum 60 people, and the guide is only in English and Serbian. However, I recommend visiting the museum.

It was amazing to get to know more about Yugoslavia history.
The grounds were very pretty and well kept.
There are many artifacts of the time period kept for all to see.
Plus the cost to get in was 600 RSD....very affordable and reasonable.

This church is dedicated to Saint Sava, the founder of the Serbian Orthodox Church and an important figure in Serbian medieval history. The interior is full of mosaics are very decorative. The building itself is grand with a huge dome. Undoubtedly a historical and architectural landmark in Belgrade.

The fortress is old and no tickets are needed. You can use the small tourist transport which will take you to the fortress. It’s next to the confluence of River Sava and Danube. It has few very old churches and viewpoints. You can see the old walls and gates inside the complex.

A "flowery" mausoleum. In the southern suburbs of Belgrade stands the House of Flowers, the mausoleum of Josip Broz Tito. In 1975, architect Stjepan Kralj designed this winter garden called Cvećara ("Flower Shop") as a kind of country retreat for Marshal Tito. The building, equipped with work and rest rooms, was located near the official residence of the Yugoslav president, Tito often stayed here. According to his wishes, Tito was buried here on May 8, 1980; his grave is sealed with a 9-ton white marble block. Because of the many flowers that surrounded the grave until the collapse of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, the mausoleum was nicknamed the "House of Flowers".

South of Belgrade’s city centre, the white marble Temple of Saint Sava (Serbian: Храм Светог Саве) rises, glittering in the sun, and is one of the largest Orthodox churches in the world. Built in the Neo-Byzantine style, the church is dedicated to Saint Sava, founder of the Orthodox Church in Serbia, the first Archbishop of Serbia and the country’s patron saint. The church was built on the site where the Albanian Grand Vizier Sinan Pasha had the excavated remains of Saint Sava desecrated and burned in 1595. In the late 19th century, the decision was made to build a church in honour of Saint Sava on this site, but construction did not begin until 1935 due to the Balkan Wars and WWI. In 1941, WWII threw a spanner in the works, and it was not until 1958 that another attempt was made to complete the church. After 88 rejected requests, it was not until 1985 that construction could resume. Architect Branko Pešić started working on the original design by his colleague Aleksandar Deroko. The most remarkable achievement during construction was lifting the 4,000-ton central dome into place, a job that took no less than 40 days! In 2001, the 49 bells were hung in the towers, the largest of which (the "Bell of St. Sava") weighs 6,128 kg and the 45-bell carillon weighs a total of 19,000 kg. In 2004, the exterior work was completed and the finishing of the interior could begin. Between 2016 and 2020, 300 master artists worked on the gold mosaics that cover 12,000 m2 of the interior. As of June 2024, when I visited the church, work was still being done on the paving around the church, but the church itself is finished and can be admired. Even the most die-hard atheist cannot help but be impressed by this imposing church with its lavish interior. The Temple of St. Sava should definitely be on your must-see list in Belgrade!

This is a large museum of mostly serbian history and art. The collection is located on 3 floors: first floor presents ancient history, second - medieval period and the beginning of modern Serbian art, third - modern Serbian and western European art. My favorite section was ancient Serbia, where fascinating cultures of Lepenski Vyr, Starchevo and Vincha were represented, among others. The weakest section, in my opinion, was western European, as only few great old masters were there (so, do not expect anything close to major European or American museums). This is, is a way, expected, as this museum is mostly about Serbia. The staff were polite and helpful, in contrast to what some old reviews mentioned. There is a caffee and a gift shop (I did not use them).

A memorial park with a small exhibition displays photos of Tito's funeral ceremony and the Serbian's people were mourning for their leader. these photos were beautiful and touching)

Based on good reviews I went there. Did i learn sth ... no? For me it was chaotic and not well organised chronologicly... also exposition is very small, just one floor. Without basic knowlage about this country you will not understand what is what ...

Tours are at each hour, they proceed with whoever is there so be there 20 mins earlier so you can join the next tour. Very small but lovely. You get to see Tesla's ashes⚱️accepts cash and local currency only.

Great museum with detailed history of the last 100 years of what was Yugoslavia. Great history of the life of Marshal Tito and his final resting place. Beautifully maintained grounds. Good coffee shop . A must see in Belgrade.

No tickets required here and I have been to many cathedrals and churches. There were very few that made an impact which includes Sagrada Familia in Spain and then there was this. Amazing mosaic work and it was breath taking! The scale and artwork. Must visit for tourists in Belgrade. Just remember the taxi drivers are quite corrupt here so check the meter before hand always opt for Pink taxi.

Good public lake swim, has free changing rooms and showers

A great museum with an extensive portfolio of artifacts to see. A must see if you are in Belgrade.
It was easy to follow and it covers ancient history, coins and cash and many paintings.

Staff were serious and professional. It was clean and organized. Card payment was accepted.

Unfortunately, no audio guide was available.

Really interesting place , free of charge to walk all around the walls
The views are amazing over to new Belgrade and you can see where the 2 rivers meet and inside the fortress you can also get drinks from stalls inside

This museum always have some excellent exhibitions. Now is actual Serbian medieval Kings costumes

Though the museum is tiny, it presents a good summary of Nikola Tesla's life and innovations. The museum showcases various original documents, personal belongings, and interactive exhibits related to Tesla's groundbreaking work in electricity and magnetism. You need to check the schedule online for the day and arrive about 20 minutes before the tour time to secure your entrance, as spaces are limited. Bear in mind that you'll be queuing outside, so consider the weather conditions.

I had the chance to visit this cathedral twice. The architecture is really beautiful and can be found easily. My suggestion is to visit the Nikola Tesla Museum first and then walk here. The place is really beautiful

Very nice place to walk around and see the sunset. Inside you can find several restaurants, a dinosaur park for kids, tennis courts, military arm museum, beautiful parks. Some extra activities like archery. You can also buy some water, ice cream an souvenirs along the way.

The small but thoroughly enjoyable Museum pays tribute to Nikola Tesla, one of the geniuses who engineered the modern world. Tesla was truly a visionary! You will do a few fun experiments with reproductions of his machines. There is also a metal sphere containing his ashes. Please note the only accept cash for admission.

Visited the fortress during my stay in Belgrade, and I enjoyed my stay. If you visit during summer, make sure you have water on you since the heat might get to you. There are several bars in the fortress, and the view is stunning.

The collection is not bad but rather small for a national museum. Free entry on Sundays. There is a nice gift shop. Also, there is free wifi.

But the impression was spoiled by the rude staff of the gallery on the top floor, which, as it turned out, requires a separate ticket to visit, but this is not indicated anywhere and people are constantly trying to enter.

The museum offers an in-depth view of Tesla's achievements and contributions to science and technology, ranging from electricity to wireless communications. It is recommended to arrive 15 minutes before the entrance time to watch an explanatory video about his life and some of his most famous experiments. Tickets are sold at the entrance and only Cash.

Very beautiful and impressive, and the store inside has plenty of articles at a reasonable price , possible to pay with credit card. It is allowed to take pictures inside and the normal dress code required. Highly recommend this visit.

Great museum about the history of Serbia. The art gallery on the top floor gives you a great view of the oeuvres of many great serbian painters. I highly recommend to go see it.

I happened to be there when prayers were in progress. Its nice to hear.
Inside is huge with some beautiful art. Place felt cooler in the 35C heat outside.

Despite the fact that it's a really small museum, it is worth the visit. I'd suggest making reservations since it's crowded and around 50 people can enter. While in, you can see Tesla's inventions and personal belongings. There is also a really good presentation, and the guide was awesome. After the presentation, there are some demonstrations of his main work, which is also pretty cool and educational. Solid 5 star place to visit, in my opinion.

I went during the night when I just arrived to Belgrade and the views were amazing. Very beautiful architecture, everything was very well taken care of and maintained. Felt super safe as well.

The museum is amazing. Small, but interesting. There are experiments that are made and people can participate. Our guide was amazing, spoke very good English and add jokes and comments that made the whole tour very good. Two important things - BOOK VISIT IN ADVANCE! If you are a group of 10+ people, go to the website and use the mail to reserve a tickets. You will pay them at the entrance. The schedule for the tours is posted on the website. The second thing - if you are less than 10 people, go to the museum in the afternoon, around 16/17 o'clock. Those tours are not fully booked and you will have better chance to enter. In the morning - you need a lot of luck to enter because of groups with reservation. The capacity of the museum is 60/65 people per tour. The price is 800 Dinars for foreign tourist and it is accepted only in cash and in local currency.

Some local fishermen ruined the experience, because we had to wait until they put their fishing rods aside, otherwise a nice place to take a photo or enjoy the view

It doesn't look very impressive when viewed from the front of the church so I recommend giving the side view a try. The pictures surely look more impressive that way.

Inside, the initial feeling is of going into a mall because of the shops flanking the entrance

Other than that the church is very impressive, a huge amount of gold was put into it and almost everything is mosaic which shows how much effort was put into it.

If you have a guide they can tell you so much about the house of flowers. It's the original home of Tito and was constructed considering it becoming museum, therefore the layout is very well done and exhibit pieces are quality

My favorite museum during my visit in Belgrade! Housed in a magnificent building, the museum offers a comprehensive journey through Serbia's rich past and vibrant heritage. The museum's layout is well-organized, making it easy to navigate and appreciate the diverse exhibits.

This fortress is really nice to visit, it is a 10 min walk from Republic Square. There are several entrances as you walk through the parks to get to it. In one side there is a tiled walk with animal pictures that surround the park you enter in to walk up the Fortress. It is free 😊 you see the local people hang out with their families. There is an attached small church Petr Church. It over looks the river.

Free entrance climb the castle, maybe u hv to pay for the zoo. Love this place so much. Lots to explore. Please come in the afternoon or near evening to watch the sun set. It’s amazing. A must visit place.

Beautiful, very emotional and interesting to see. it‘s definitely worth a visit. A beautiful memorial to Drug Tito, former Yugoslavia and to all the proud Jugosloveni who were fighting for a better world and future.

This is the word-iest museum I’ve ever seen. Is it a museum or is it a book where instead of pages, the words are written on the walls? At least there are pictures accompanying the long passages. I’d like to suggest the linguistic skill of summarisation. These wall-essays are in Serbian and English.

When I went, the upper floor was closed, so it was just one floor and I only took an hour to see it. The time periods jump around somewhat, which was slightly odd and disorientating. It only covers 19th century in (maybe too much written) detail and then some medieval years, 11th-15th centuries. There is a small amount of info on the missing centuries in between.

I liked the displays of the crowns. You can see the painting, and then reconstructions of the crowns they wore.

Also, what museum only accepts cash and no card? I found it bizarre. 400 dinars (€3.50) entry is reasonable at least. There are toilets on-site. The 8pm closing time is fantastic.

This is a legitimately quality and worthwhile museum. It’s time well spent seeing it and the price is very reasonable. Note that it is free entry on Sundays.

There’s a lot of art on levels 1 and 2 of the building, and some archaeological displays on the ground floor. There are also statues, coins and jewellery.

There are some very nice surprises in the museum like Egyptian artefacts and the famous marble statue depicting a woman’s veiled face. The art sections feature local Yugoslavian/Serbian art, as well as art from other countries in Europe. You will see that the Yugoslavians could really paint.

They have a free cloakroom and bathrooms. It’s in a great, convenient location in Republic Square (unlike other museums in Belgrade), inside a beautiful building.

Great experience. Just be mindful of ticketing. If you don't get a ticket prior, you might have to wait about an hour for the next session.

Very informative guided tour. The best part of the tour was all the interactive things they let you do. It is a lot smaller than you'd expect but a must do in Belgrade. Easy to find and plenty of places to have coffee around the area.

I was so impressed. This is a huge Museum with great historic antiques. On Sundays, the entrance is free. The Museum has two floors and on each floor, there are gorgeous works. This should be on your museum lists when visiting Belgrade.

It not the biggest museum, but it does give you very good insigt to Serbian history. It is filled with copies of many important iconography from alle the Serbian chruches.

Very nice church but the interior is almost identical to any other church of this kind. Nothing really sets it apart, but nice to visit nevertheless.

When we visited that place, there was a wedding. It was awesome. Priest and chorus were really impressive. Atmosphere was so calming

The main historical museum left me with contrasting impressions. While expecting a treasure trove of historical artifacts and everyday objects, which it unquestionably possesses, the experience fell short. The displays felt lackluster due to several factors. Firstly, many of the decorative pieces and symbols of power displayed are merely replicas. Secondly, the inconsistent lighting often left the exhibits in unflattering shadows, hindering full appreciation. Finally, the information overload through walls of text, ranging from tiny to medium-sized fonts, felt akin to someone simply printing history textbook pages and hanging them up. A truly captivating and dignified presentation would be expected for such a prestigious institution. While the museum holds historical significance and is worth a single visit, the wealth of information it holds would be better explored online, comfortably viewed on a laptop screen.

Tolle Lage!

Городской пляж в центре столицы. Не каждый город может таким похвастаться. Здесь есть все для спорта и отдыха. Длинные галечные пляжи, вода хорошо прогрета, купаться одно удовольствие. По глубине похоже на Онежское озеро: метров пять мелко, потом сразу глубоко. Мелкая зона ограждена буйками. Вода чистая, попадаются водоросли, но это не критично. Рядом с пляжем есть кафе. Весьма приятное место.

Väldigt vacker ortodox kyrka som är värd att besöka om du befinner dig i Belgrad. Om du har kort om tid rekommenderar jag att du istället besöker Hram Svetog Save istället som är världens största ortodoxa kyrka.

Trevlig gammal kyrka. Väldigt öppen yta på insidan. Trevlig personal som rätt snabbt sa åt oss att det inte gjorde något om vår dotter hördes där inne, vi förväntade oss att hon skulle säga åt oss att vara tysta.

این کلیسا از کلیساهای ارتدوکس میباشد ، پارک بیرون از محوطه فوق العاده زیبا بود ، داخل کلیسا عکسبرداری ممنوع میباشد اما محیط بسیار زیبایی نیز در داخل کلیسا وجود دارد ، برای دسترسی به کلیسا میتوانید از تراموا یا از اتوبوس استفاده کنید
