The venue is absolutely beautiful and the music is amazing. However, my bag was lost a few days ago and they did not properly search the club. I had to cancel my credit cards and my BRP, which created a lot of problems for me. It was after I asked numerous times when one member of staff has said he had seen the bag around the bar area. I was also unable to reach somebody via phone, Facebook or email. I tried visiting during the day, but they were closed. I love the music and atmosphere but the service could be a lot better.

Myself and my partner came up from Essex after having living in Birmingham during 2022 and loving visiting there. We were massively disappointed, arrived about 11.30 on a Friday night and only one floor was open which had probably less than 20 people in there. Previously we'd come on a Friday night and it would be rammed. We left after 20 minutes, the sound system was horrifically loud and hurt our ears. Nothing like it use to be, we were gutted.
Very nice club to spend the night away but drinks are at £5.00 a pint is this the standard price for all pubs and clubs a like to be charging £5.00. I think it spoils the night out for £5.00 a pint unless you go to special evenings where it can be cheaper or half price pints.
It's getting less younger guys coming in just the regulars who's been there for years now
Overpriced entry with wishy-washy music with no atmosphere, building needs a spuce up. Would highly recommend not to go
Great club went for a drum and bass event always good vibes, atmosphere and staff
After the rip off ticket price , drinks are even more madly expensive. The music volume will pierce a hole on your ear , avoid if you still want to have your hearing.
Vibes are good for dancing but that’s it .
Went to Bass Face night, first time in the club. Pretty disappointing tbh, it is quite small, one room on the way in with no music, the only bar and only toilets (just 3 cubicles in the ladies!), one bigger (but not massive) main room and then a smaller room beyond. I wouldn’t have minded but we queued for literally an hour and a half to get in which really took the shine off. There was a ticket deal of free entry before 11.30pm (doors at 11pm, we got there about 5 to, queue in front didn’t seem too long) and at first I thought they were clearly taking the piss with letting people in as slowly as possible so they could make us pay (queue didn’t move at all until about 20 past). But then it didn’t noticeably speed up afterwards. Have never been in a queue so slow to get in anywhere, loads of people were just giving up and going elsewhere. Then the last kick in the teeth, they stole an hour from us! Clocks went forward so the night was meant to finish at 4am and so it finished 4am new time (so really 3am). So we got less than 3hrs in there. For the queueing alone I probably wouldn’t go back although the music and bar prices were decent.

It’s not the club that i knew it’s now just a dance club ,I won’t be coming back
Went to House of God. This place really makes me miss the days of decent clubs in London under the arches in London Bridge. A rabbit warren of different rooms, great sound system, the fact they sell any kind of snacks in a nightclub is rare and wonderful. 3am grab bag of walkers. Yes please.

The only snag was the cloakroom, which took an hour to get our coats from even though we started queuing half an hour before the event ended and then missed our train. Definitely could do with a bigger space for that, but otherwise a fantastic venue for a party.
Thursday was great vibes it was nice to be treated great in a LGBTQ+ space by everyone who works there. I like the short security guard, he had great banter searching and having a laugh with everyone all in all a brilliant night
DISCRIMINATORY SECURITY
we just had EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING experience at gales. our friend who is lawful resident with a valid visa, was denied entry solely based on the fact that security guard refused to accept his visa as a form of identification. when we sought clarification from the management, her response was equally unsatisfactory. the manager insisted that only a passport or provisional licence would be accepted as a valid identification, contradicting any sensible policy. the whole situation was just arbitrary decision making process that lacked transparency and seemed to be fueled by prejudice rather than following established guidelines. we were shocked to see such blatant discrimination. my review, and as i can see many others, are indicative of a systemic issue within the security in this venue. i strongly urge the management to reevaluate their security, as instead of treating the clientele fairly and respectfully, they are abusing their power. that being said, we will not be returning to gales anymore and will share our negative experience with friends and colleagues to caution them against your lack of fairness and inclusivity

Club should be investigated and shut down. Absolutely disgraceful security, idk why a gay club feels like they can hire some so obviously very judgemental homophobic security staff. Apparently was to drunk to go in, had only had a couple drinks and literally was trying to find my wallet to get the ID out, everyone else had gotten in, made me walk around the block with a friend that came back out after seeing and disputing the obvious that just because trying to find a wallet doesn't mean you're too drunk.

When in, we were talking together about how incapable the security are and how disrespectful they are and then a security came up in our faces confronting us being even more disrespectful trying to kick us out, spoke to manager after but obviously she didn't care and just pretended to understand.

Then, my bf who I was dancing with was told by the bouncers, he's dancing too much, it's a club like that's the point... I talked to the security and they just became violent and verbally abusive not letting me speak to a manager without them standing in between changing the story. Was injured in the process, cut arm and sprained ankle.

Don't bother going to this club, the big "homophobia is gay" sign on the wall is so ironic when it is probably the most homophobic judgemental club in Birmingham, better off just going to broad street.
Because staff not nice people and meeting guy at botiz for Christmas him told lie about me last night
Hadn't been for years, but found myself in Birmingham again and thought I'd give it a try. What a mistake! Hardly any gay guys in there, mostly straight girls. Impossible to get a drink due to not enough staff on. No atmosphere, rubbish sound system that hurts your ears. Terrible music. And people wonder why the gays don't go out clubbing anymore...
Mauvais son. Prix exorbitants. Rien ne va sauf la propreté.
Great staff really friendly and welcoming dome customers are toxic however others make it
