Great dinner yesterday. Really friendly staff. The food was very good. We will be back next time we visit Sweden.
I have had dinner quite a few times at Kasai in the Sky Malmö, for business stays in the city, alone or with colleagues. This has always been a great experience . Staff is very friendly despite being quite busy , 360° view from the 14th floor is always impressive , music and overall atmosphere are quite festive . Not being a sushi guy myself , my colleagues have always enjoyed their taste and diversity. Kasai offer delicious Japanese alternatives which always make me coming back with enthusiasm. It is often a busy restaurant and booking your table would make you avoid the wait . You still have the choice to wait and enjoy a drink at the bar !
A good experience considering the size and location, but unfortunately missing some of the flavour magic we experienced at Dubbel Dubbel when it was in Stockholm. Still enjoyed our time and would recommend it.
Impossible perfect experience
We – A family of 4 (two daughters of 6 and 11) were arriving from Stockholm by train that day scouting for a dinner restaurant in Malmö on Google maps.
When we found this gem, it was of course fully booked so we put ourselves down for the waiting list. When we arrived at the hotel to drop our bags off my wife made a call and managed to secure a table by the bar.
Don’t know if intentional but they had placed the toilets outside of the restaurant, so when we walked in everyone was in the right mood. We entered through a pathway with a beautiful vase lit up in the background. Upon entering the dinner area there was two other groups waiting to get seated and it was generally a busy environment. Never the less I got eye contact after 5 seconds with the waiter who nodded at me with a friendly look that said “Welcome, I see you and we will attend to you soon”.
You could notice that they paid attention to get the details right, dark oak wood furniture, polished black metal details and the light was done giving the place a comfy yet toned down and sleek environment interior.
Shortly after seated we were pleasantly surprised they had both our favorite champagne Louis Roederer by the glass and also the Japanese beer Hitachino on the menu. Both are rare finds in Sweden. This place deserves six stars on Google just because of their drink selection. Every interaction with the waiters was playful and you could almost sense the positive culture in the staff. The food was beautiful and delicious packed with Umami, to the point that we had to stop our kids from licking the plates.
To close the perfection we had the cheesecake and discovered that one of the waiters was from the Basque Country. Having visited last summer we exchanged some recommendations of restaurants in San Sebastián and although the cheesecake here was delicious he told me with pride it is better in Donostia. If you ever had basque cheesecake you’d agree with him.
Then to the best part: 7-8 dishes, 3 glasses of champagne and a beer for 1500 kr. The only complaint I have is that I have to go 6 hours by train from Stockholm to revisit.

Shame lot of complaints about rats, I however didn’t notice any, phew. Food was good, I’ve had better but still good. We had the braised pork belly, shrimp wonton, beef jiaozi, salt n pepper tempura cauliflower. Tried the yuzu cocktail and mandarin margarita, both were good. Place was dated and decor tacky. Definitely need a spruce up and preferably rat-free location 🐀
Be aware - The place is infested with rats!!!
We saw three rats while eating in the courtyard-restaurant, inside the restaurant, just outside in the courtyard and on the transparent roof above us. The couple dining next to us also mentioned they had seen several rats running towards the kitchen area. The staff reacted so badly when confronted and tried to gaslight us to believe it was “normal for the area” and they could not give any more discount than 10% (66kr) as their manager was not present. I cannot believe I actually payed for the food without. We should have just left instantly! The most disgusting experience in a restaurant I have ever experienced. We could have gotten seriously sick or infected. I’ve worked in restaurants many years as a chef in Copenhagen and have never seen a single rat. The staff handled this so badly that I will never recommend this place to anyone ever. In Denmark we have a moral obligation to report any sighting of rats anywhere and this will also be done in this case, to Miljöförvaltningen Malmö.

We saw a RAT running into the kitchen and when telling the staff about it, they just said that rats are normal in Malmö… we completely lost our appetite and couldn’t finish our meal, and when we asked for at discount to compensate the experience they wouldn’t recognize our concern or give us any discount. Finally they called the manager/owner and gave us a 10% discount. Come on! thats so close to nothing that it's almost silly… We were very sad when we left the place and it ended up ruining out night.

Snabbaste resturang besöket vi åt 5 rätter och drack ett glas på 20minuter.
Maten kom in lite väl fort samt att man visste inte hur mycket av varje rätt man ville dela lika men ibland gick det inte.
Maten var väldigt god och servicen super men lokalen var väldigt bullrig och svårt att höra vilken rätt som presenterades man hör ljudnivån på filmklippen

Restaurant with really delicious asian inspired food and drinks of highest quality.. The atmosphere is super cousy and staff is soo service oriented and polite.
The restaurant itself could easily be placed in a hip New York area, Singapore or Bangkok with the dark but very atmospheric look, cool and cousy it is...
Prices are very fair considering the quality of everything they serve here..I can very highly recommend the coctails and food...enjoy with good friendsvor family 🥰

very cozy place and we got seats right away, goood service too. the bao was yummy however the ramen can still be improved in my opinion with the noodles and richer broth.
Super quick service and delicious food to match! 100% worth the price. Nice and big portions. Would definitely go back!

Amazing tapas, not a big menu but everything is 10/10👍 starting with the shrimp with an amazing soy glaze sauce, then the crispy chicken with salad, the salmon with sake sauce was to die for. The drinks were great and staff was kind. Loved everything😍
Great food at an alright price. The waiter got us a sharing many which we trusted him with an he delivered. Good drinks as well.

It is a nice place. I tried Dashis spacial and Goi cuan with shrimps, I enjoyed it. My husband tried Chicken katsu, it was delicious 🍲 Definitely recommend if you like ramen and noodles 🍜 ❤️
The food was pretty good and the waiters are nice. I got the miso ramen with pork belly and I was very satisfied.
One of my favorites goto ramen places in Malmö. Such good food, never too crowded where it's difficult to find seating and good service. They have decorated the place with super cute popular anime art which is such a nice extra touch 😍✨✨
En av Malmös bästa restauranger oavsett kategori. Asiatiska smårätter med mycket smak. Räkorna är fantastiska liksom de små slider style burgarna. Rekommenderar att man tar kockens val där de ställer fram rätt efter rätt.
Ambiance branchée, on a pris un saumon yuzu, le plat été bien garnie et élaboré. Pour l'équivalent de 12€50 le plat c'est une très bonne adresse. On a été servis 5minutes après la commande et pourtant le restaurant était plein.
