First time I've used this chippy.
Staff were friendly.
Cod and chips were good. Banging pot of curry sauce.
Offer gluten free batter option.
Only accepts cash which I've no problem with.

Great food, hot and really tasty. Fresh ingredients and the place was so so clean. Very reasonable prices and large portions. One of the best chinese take aways we have had. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent, spent over an hour trying to find a Chinese that would deliver to my address and came across Norfolk Express… so glad I did. Best I’ve had in a long time and super fresh. Well presented. Big thumbs up from me.

Food is lovely, delivery is quick. Two things I would say need improving are the vip app thing as it never seems to work and drain the spring rolls a little bit before putting in the container as they arrive swimming in oil. It's not a major problem, I just sit them on kitchen roll whilst I dish everything else up.

Regardless of specialist Chinese food or fish and chips, this place never disappoints. Not your usual Chinese menu and flavours, this is fantastic...especially for starters, the owner has bought experience from outside of Norfolk and it certainly shows. Tonight we had fish and chips with lots of extras and the portions are superior to the competition.

Well decorated and designed building with hands down the best chicken burger and chips I've had in a long time. Very nice, soft roll with a good amount of salad, homemade mayonnaise and a great sized chicken breast all form a great experience on the whole. The chips, as always are top drawer too and a must visit for anyone in the area.

By far the best chippy in Norwich,staff are friendly and have a bit of banter with you.

We ordered takeaway from grosvenor fish bar and are very unhappy. we waited 40 minutes for this to arrive and when it arrived it was missing a portion of chips and the cod was soggy and flavourless.

Great service & on the whole a fab place. We got there just before the midday rush & managed to get a table downstairs. Very dark down there though, so could do with better or a bit more lighting. Food was a good portion size but the fish goujon was very greasy. Chips were delicious 😋

Mega busy Chippy but everything ran like clockwork and was well organised, we didn't have to wait too long. Food was hot and portion sizes were very good. The chips needed more seasoning and I think that they were a bit tight on the salt and vinegar but overall it was very good.

I tried Barron’s today after seeing my friend Mel recommend it several times online. I generally trust why he says so thought I’d take the wife for a lunch date ( I know such a romantic). We pulled up just before lunch opening and people were starting to gather, in my opinion the sign of a good chippy if people are queuing for it to open.
My first impression when I walked in was how spotlessly clean the place was, how friendly the lady behind the counter was. We had both had cod and chips and mushy peas ! The batter was perfect not soggy or cakey but perfect! The chips again perfect not over or underdone just perfect. I said we were going to eat them by the river so she kindly put our food in takeaway containers and wrapped them up which made eaten my time easier. In our opinion the best fish and chips we have ever had.

This is the second time of trying Norfolk express Chinese and have not been disappointed. Food has been quite fresh tasting compared to other Chinese. They've been amazing with dealing with requests. And the pricing is completely reasonable for the portion size and flavour. This has been our favourite Chinese in a long time. Would recommend.

WOW! WHAT A PLACE!
I heard about this place from my mum and decided to try it out. And WOW! It was OUTSTANDING! As someone who loves a bit of British history and a good fish and chips, my expectations were fulfilled and more! What a lovely place. Affordable, lovely atmosphere, staff was amazing and polite and food came out in a good amount of time too! Highly recommend :)

This chippy is excellent, the staff are so kind and friendly. The food is lovely, cooked well and tasty. We've been using this chippy for a good few months now. It deserves to be used more by the local community of Lakenham/Tuckswood and surrounding areas.

This has to be one of the best Chinese takeaways I've ever been to, the food is first class the service is great and their attention to detail right down to the packaging is superb.

The shop is spotless which I think says a lot about the cleanliness of the kitchen. They also do English fish and chips.

Their delivery service is fast too, the food arrives as hot as it was when it left the shop. You can also order online to save worrying about having cash to pay at the door.

If you're not up for cooking and fancy a treat, you won't be disappointed here.

Fish was perfect, chips were what I would say old fashioned and very tasty, only issue I had was there where way to many chips, maybe half of a portion would have been better, a very delicious meal and price was good 👍

Used to live next to this chippy with my boyfriend and housemate but I had to move home yesterday and i'm sad this is no longer on my doorstep!
Fantastic food, amazing service, very talkactive and it makes me feel welcome so I absolutely recommend this chippy to everyone!

New owners taken over three months ago. The man who served me was lovely and very informative and passionate about his new takeaway. The schezen chicken was so good and my boyfriend even enjoyed the spice! Big portions and well worth the price!
Also do blue light discount which is an added bonus!

Been going here for years we love this place , the quality is second to none food wise it's very clean and the staff are always helpful.Highly recommend if you are looking for traditional fish and chips.
Such a chilled vibe here too,lovely place to unwind☺️

Best chippy in norwich (though they don't do chicken* :)) decent portions too, slightly smaller then last I was there but still good value, be prepared to queue as it can get very busy (it really is that good)

*update: they now do chicken, really really nice chicken
