I really don't know where to start.
First, I called the City Third Space to require pricing, the person who picked up the call was dry and unfriendly, simply told me the membership fees. I said thanks and I hung up.
Seeing their mistake, I immediately got a phone call back from someone else from the club and an email offering me a £50 credit to spend in the club.
I then replied to the email, and I booked an appointment.
On the appointment, I was rushed by the club staff to join it. I ended up doing it which was a big mistake of mine as I didn't read the negative reviews.
The shower area is full of mould and the water is either too hot or too cold.
In the swimming pool, there's a pillar in the middle of it, which is very mouldy. The ceiling of the pool is rusty and mouldy, so when we swim, the mould drips onto our head whilst swimming.
Also, there is always an issue with the steam room.
The scale in the female room hardly works.
One day upon arrival, the gate was wide open with the red lights on and a big sign written OUT OF ORDER. Seeing that the gate was broken, I passed through it, then a tall man wearing a white shirt and trousers came chasing me saying that I needed to tap my card. I said to him "but it's written out of order", he aggressively and very rude said "can't you see it's also written tap the card". I said again but the gate is broken and wide open, he very aggressively said again "can't you see it's also written, tap the card here".
I was shocked with the level of aggression I received from this man, especially because I didn't have my glasses on and I didn't see the small letters saying "tap the card", without my glasses I only saw the big sign OUT OF ORDER. I believe this man was the manager on duty, he's agorant and rude.
Another day, I was at the female room with my swimming suit on and closing my locker to go to the pool, then a tall thin woman with straight long brown hair entered the female room rushing and aggressively closed all the locker's doors that were open, when she reached where I was, she nearly closed the upper locker where my hand was because I was closing my locker, and she almost injured my hand, I was again shocked by her behaviour.
Another day, I had a class, the instructor said she would contact me for private classes, which she never did.
Another day, I was leaving the club, then a personal trainer came in rushing to the gate where I was leaving, he didn't stop or used the other gates.
I regret deeply coming to this gym.
If you want to be spoken to aggressively and with an arrogant attitude plus take a shower with mould and swim in mould, then come to City Third Space and pay £210 a month.

We had an excellent swim at the Lido on a rainy weekday in late March. Lovely cafe too. Two weeks later I got an envelope from the Lido through the post containing my driving licence! I'd accidentally left it in a locker. Staff were kind enough to mail it to me. BEST birthday present 🎁💝. Thank you 🙏
Visited the Center this morning was calling to see if facilities was operational no one answered the phones? Rocked up & paid to use the sauna & steam! Sauna was packed as nothing else worked? I could not relax in spa area as it had a very musty smell of damp & urine, the area was very dirty. I was told cleaners had not been in due to bank holiday weekend, the area should be cleaned every day for hygiene purposes. Steam not working, no signs to advise customers? Complete waste of time, requested a refund of £8 which could only be returned to me in credit! Asked to speak to the manager was told he could not leave the poolside as he was doubling up as a life guard? The council needs to do better you can't feel healthy if your environment if it's musty & smelly or not in use. The young man at reception tried his best so my two stars are for him.

In the past couple of years, Fitness First has gone through significant change of ownership and the closing of many of its clubs across the UK. Management now seems to focus on maximising subscriptions to remaining sites and as such the gym is VERY busy at peak times (it can be hard to get a machine / entry to a class). Prices have been increasing and as yet this hasn't fully filtered through to improved equipment and facilities. It could do with more modern kit, less people at peak times, improved changing facilties (the toilets smell pretty grim) and an overhaul of the sauna / steam area which is very dated and can be treacherous (watch out - the tiles are very slippery).
Also simple things to fix like lights, water fountains (that are VERY OLD and SLOW) seem to take ages.
If FF improved these things it will be worth the near £100 / month for membership, at the moment it has room for improvement and falls a little short of the price tag.

I have been a member of Third Space for a couple of months now and I’m so glad I made the decision to join. The club itself is a lovely place to escape to mid or post work, it is beautifully fitted out and spotlessly clean (Housekeeping team do an amazing job).
The classes are the main reason I joined and they have surpassed my expectations. All of the instructors are excellent - particular favourite classes so far are Hot yoga with Patrick and Emily and Pilates with Eloise.
All of the staff at the club are really friendly and I always feel welcome when I come in.
Would 100% recommend to anyone thinking of joining.

I cannot say enough positive things about this gym. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with a warm welcome by the friendly staff. The facilities are top-notch, the variety and quality of the classes is fantastic, catering for all fitness levels. One of the the standout features is the sense of community that it fosters. It really is a third space to feel supported and motivated.
As a gym, it's just about okay... A lot of the equipment is quite tired. There are pins missing on the cable machines, quite a lot of the cardio doesn't work, and quite limited freeweights. I'm only a member cos it's over the road, but I've kept my other gym membership for proper workouts. The changing rooms are grim and could be cleaner, but I understand they're due to be refurbished. That said, it's priced about right for the quality and general kit. The pool is what makes it.
I’ve been with Third Space city for a month now and I’m so happy I joined. I was a bit hesitant at first because I’m new to gyms and find them quite overwhelming to be in. I have Autism and long covid, that’s effected my health and breathing, and confidence.
I was introduced to Yaw for sign up, who took me through the induction and showed me around. He instantly made me at ease. He also introduced me to Sara one of the personal trainers who took me through the very basics and gave me some direction at the gym. Both of them were so wonderful and helped me out so much. They made it such a nice experience that I’ve wanted to come back.
The gym itself is wonderful and very clean. It’s such a lovely environment to be in. I also took a lifting class with Sophia who is also just so lovely and friendly.She gave me plenty of modifications for my body type and personal anatomy. So far I’m so impressed and it’s quickly became a place I want to be in and enjoy being in. I love the additional bonus of the sauna, steam and pool after my work out. Reading my book by the pool after a good workout is absolute bliss. Thank you city team for all the help and kindness it’s really appreciated.

I recently joined this gym and I couldn't be happier with my experience! The space is fantastic, always well maintained, and rarely crowded. All staff are incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and always willing to assist with any questions or concerns. I've been to other TS branches, but this one is by far my favorite. If you're looking for a gym with a great atmosphere and top-notch service, look no further! Highly recommend!
I was Boris Johnsoned by the Managers at Brockwell Lido. They told me to pull up my jeans and take them off and four or five times no joke. I'd previously asked a few times via email and face to face for the rules of the gym and received no reply. I accused them of being racist which is whatever to me as I'm mixed and from all over the UK basically but when I asked why they just would not and could not answer which I found very confusing and wonderfully enlightening at the same time. I also think I had my bottle and top stolen. Still waiting to hear back from them on that matter.

bank holiday opening times on the website say until 1700. tried to call twice today to confirm this, and got no answer. arrive at 1540 to see three staff doing not very much on the front desk, and be told it's a 1600 close. staff didn't seem care or apologise for the inconvenience.

I come here regularly for a swim. The sauna gets a bit busy but it's manageable and visitors are friendly towards each other. The staff are warm and welcoming. Thank you.
I have been a member for a year now and third space is the best gym in London. The classes and gym are a cut above the rest. There is so much variety and amazing that there are no hidden costs. The pool and spa is amazing and always so clean. The changing rooms are massive and kept so well stocked.
I’ve been a member of Third Space for over 2 months now and I’m loving it! The gym is also kept clean and it’s a welcoming environment. Everyone is friendly and helpful. There’s a variety of classes to choose from. I never enjoyed spin classes and never thought I’d want to go 3 times a week to Just Ride! The gym is also well equipped - even at peak times I can normally get a squat rack quickly. The sauna is also a lovely post-workout bonus.

Es geht nur Kartenzahlung, man benötigt aber ein 1-Pfund-Stück für die Garderobenkästen.
Reservierung war nicht notwendig, es war wenig los.
Sehr schade ist, dass alles schon sehr alt, an vielen Stellen schmutzig und etwas heruntergekommen wirkt, obwohl es diese Olympia-Schwimmhalle ja erst seit 2012 gibt. Hier könnte man sich wirklich etwas besser um die Erhaltung kümmern...
Leider sind Duschen und Umkleiden auch viel zu klein und beengt.
Deshalb mein Fazit: Zum Schwimmen super, der Rest sieht aus wie ein Bau in Osteuropa aus den 60ern

I agree with certain members that improvements could be made in terms of basic cleaning (mostly dust), general health and safety (certain showers, toilets or water fountains look from another age) and enhancing respect among members and good manners through specific communications via small posters (e.g, reminding members to put back weights where they found them, or discharge equipment, try to keep it low when discussing in sauna or steam rooms (sometimes you'd think you were at Billingsgate Fish Market (without the fish)), that the pool is actually not a bath where to clean sweat and prefer a proper shower before that, and finally avoid scrubbing dead skin in these rooms, or anywhere in the premises). Finally I would appreciate if the sauna/steam rooms were not « out of order » for other reasons than for maintenance - com’on I know energy prices skyrocketed, but you are a Platinum Fitness First - and kept at the temperature they should be right now which is great btw (100 degrees Celsius for sauna).
Appart from these points, I sincerely love to go there, staff is helpful and welcoming and there is a good sportsmanship there! Definitely recommend it!

Wir haben das London Aquatics Centre als Freizeitschwimmer besucht und waren von der Organisation des Schwimmens im Wettkampfbecken begeistert. Die Bahnen sind nach Schwimmgeschwindigkeit geordnet (von langsam bis schnell) und es wird abwechselnd auf den Bahnen entweder im oder entgegengesetzt des Uhrzeigersinnes geschwommen. Das ermöglicht, dass man andere Schwimmer in den Bahnen überholen kann, ohne in den "Gegenverkehr" schwimmen zu müssen.
Nicht ganz so gut haben uns Duschen und Umkleidebereich gefallen. Beides wirkt etwas "in die Jahre gekommen" und der Betreiber sollte mehr auf die Sauberkeit achten.

50er Becken, angenehme Temperatur, nicht überfüllt, günstig, sehr lange Öffnungszeit: Mo-Sa 6:30am-9:45pm, So 6:30am-4:45pm sofern toll, allerdings im Vergleich zu anderen olympischen Schwimmhallen (z.B München) ist eine Enttäuschung. Die Architektur ist unspektakulär, die Umkleide und Dusche keineswegs benutzerfreundlich: kaum Bänke/ Staufläche, wenige Duschkabine, alles naß und auch nicht besonders sauber.
Hier fanden anlässlich der Olympischen Spiele in London 2012 die Schwimm- und Turmspringwettbewerbe statt.
Ganz geil, wie leer es hier an einem Sonntag Nachmittag ist.
50m Bahnen mit 1-3 Leuten pro Bahn sind Dimensionen die man so aus Darmstadt nicht kennt.

Cooles Stadion zum Fußball schauen. Die Heimmannschaft Westham United lohnt sich alle Mal. Guter organisierter Hin-, und Rückweg.
Toll zum trainieren. Die Bahnen sind nach Geschwindigkeiten aufgeteilt. Bahn 1 ist die langsame “Treibholzklasse” Bahn 2 die etwas schnelleren und so weiter. Teilweise herrscht “Linksverkehr” auf den Bahnen. Das ist auf den Schildern auf den Startblöcken markiert wie geschwommen wird. An das Becken darf man weder eine Tasche noch ein Handtuch mitnehmen. Ist halt wirklich nur zum Schwimmen. Das Personal ist total hilfsbereit und erklärt gerne und ausführlich...

Vorrangig war es mein Ziel ein Gebäude von Zaha Mohammad Hadid zu erleben. Das hat sich sehr gelohnt. Es ist schlicht, funktional und sehr beeindruckend! Die Deckenhöhe und das gedämpfte Licht haben fast schon etwas Sakrales.
Der Badebereich teilt sich m.E. in drei Bereiche auf: Springen (m.E. nur in Begleitung der Vereine erlaubt) ein großes Becken mit kälterem Wasser und langen Strecken und davon deutlich abgetrennt ein kleineres Becken mit unterschiedlich flachen Zonen.
Der Punktabzug ergibt sich für mich, da man nur sportlich ( so mein Eindruck) ins Becken gehen darf... Da zeigt sich meine deutsche Vorstellung. 😉
Man entscheidet sich für eine Bahn: Im oder gegen den Uhrzeigersinn, schnell , langsam oder mittelschnell. Das auch im Becken mit einer Tiefe knapp unter einem Meter. Nur eine doppelte Bahn im Nichtschwimmerbereich wurde nicht gezogen, da konnten Kinder ein bisschen platschen oder einfach nur im Wasser stehen.
Sehr diszipliniert und organisiert.
Alles war sehr sauber, das Personal freundlich, die Preise angemessen . Viele Bademeister beaufsichtigen in der späten Mittagsstunde die Becken und rotierten regelmäßig.
Man erlaubte uns wenige Male neben dem Block ins Wasser zu springen. Alles weitere war neben dem Schwimmen tabu. Viele Spitzensportler trainierten, störten sich aber nicht an unserer familiären Gesellschaft. Es war trotz der vielen Menschen sehr ruhig.
