A very sweet, cute, quiet walk in the park. We wanted to walk but be in a place where locals would go for a walk. It was beautiful
Great place for a walk with nice views of Edinburgh
The place hasn't been taken care very well. For one who loves trail may be love this place. The path to the tower is not very clear. You need a Google map to go to this place.
I walk dogs here twice a week. It's a personal favourite of mine and the dogs always have a ball. Lots of friendly people and a good place for sociable dogs. A bit muddy so wear boots!
This is a very popular place for Dog Walkers, Joggers, and to take your kids to explore and play in the woods,
The woods are also used by the army to train the soldiers .
There's a good burn that runs from the Pentland Hills right through to the Braidburn Valley and into the Hermitage and Blackford Hills. You can often see people fishing for wild brown trout from March until September.
Parking is available outside the entrance from Redford Road. The terrain is not suitable for wheelchair users.

Lovely big reserve, perfect for picnics and dog walks (one big loop). Loads of beautiful deer and wildlife as well, has good views on a clear day and has rocks to climb up amongst the forest
