This was an amazing museum however I have a few points
1. If you go in with a basic understanding of the middle ages, it's probably not enough to full understand the exhibits so study beforehand
2. I wish they had kept the museum in a more traditional and ancient style! You can see parts of the abbey and the exterior is beautiful, but they mixed modern and ancient inside and I feel like it doesn't do the place justice
Bought a ticket for first thing in the morning. Some excellent examples of life and art starting from 1100 to 1600. Well presented and easy to move around, not as crowded as many of the other sites. Elevators and bathrooms on site. All of the displays are in both French and English. One of my favorite museums in Paris.

Great museum! There are plenty of exhibitions going on, great pass of time for art lovers.
Almost a refreshing change from European cultures and history to step into the Guimet. Having lived in and visited many parts of Asia it was almost a trip through memory lane, but there was a bit of confusion as to how to best look through the venue. With items in collections by country it didn't offer any flow and it was difficult to know which way to walk to best view all of the collections. I was also a little disappointed as I have heard that the Guimet owns one of the 2 scrolls that are thought to represent Hokusai's final works, "Dragon" which I was lucky enough to see on display next to its partner "Tiger in the Rain" in Tokyo in 2019. There is nothing about it mentioned and it is definitely not on display. Overall the collection felt like just that, a collection of bits and pieces rather than a journey through the cultures that make up Asia.
Surprising Museum, far East history and arts, blending archeology and modern art. Unique pieces, unusual for citizens from any other non-colonialist country... Attached pictures speak by themselves.
I had been in Easter weekend and no queues nor crowd. It could be improved in explainations. Close to Trocadero, so few steps from famous spots in Paris.
Hard one to rate to be honest, as the place is beautiful but when you go in you see that some works are hidden away behind the free standing walls and some parts aren’t in English and others are. You can get an audio guide for a 2€ but I only found that out once I was walking around inside the exhibition spaces. I feel it would be nicer to see more of the original building on the ground floor. It has free lockers for your bag but very few for big bags, so be mindful of that. Other than that the staff are nice and if you love medieval ages of France and surrounding areas, then it’s definitely worth your time! If not and you have a short time in Paris then I’d say avoid it. It does have a great gift shop tho!
So many Paris museums are unbelievably crowded which makes it hard to appreciate the art. This place didn’t have the same level of famous work as the louvre or l’orangerie, but it was peaceful and incredibly interesting. Would recommend going if you have a bit extra time in Paris!!

Beautiful big museum I couldn’t finish it in one day so I went back the next day but definitely worth it. Also there’s a bookshop and a place to put your belongings near the exist/entrance.
The museum with religious exhibits offered an average experience. While it provided insight into various faiths, the presentation lacked the depth and engagement expected. Despite touching on significant themes, the overall impression fell short, leaving room for improvement in delivering a more compelling narrative.

I found this hidden gem in Paris that is quite often overlooked.
It is a perfect place to dive inside Asian art and architecture.
It was a really refreshing experience that took me out of the European culture for a moment.
I would definitely suggest visiting it.

Is dedicated to Asian art, focusing on the cultures of East, Southeast, South and Central Asia. The collection includes a diverse range of artifacts such as sculptures, ceramics, textiles, and religious objects from various Asian civilizations.
There were some rooms that were closed during my visit.

Good museum dedicated to Asian arte, most Chinese but with India, Cambodia, Japan and Korean rooms too. Unfortunately rooms dedicated to Korean and Japan were close to reorganize.
