Have been a customers for many many years. The food isn't as good as back in the days but it is still delicious and the side dishes are very good.
Recommend the Seafood pancakes.

This was my 4th time coming here, every time with new friends. But the service and the quality of food just get worse and worse. In the past refill of side dishes and rice was allowed even we ordered a portion for 2 and shared among 3 people. My friends and I never really refill like crazy - I always only refill two side dishes that I like 1-2 times and rice only once. Never more. We are not greedy people. However, now it is not allowed. Even only one of us would like one more rice it's not possible. The owner told me corona has destroyed her business. Well, I have to be honest. My last visit was right after corona restrictions like around end 2022 or beginning of 2023, it was better. At least when I left there were still people waiting for a table.

We would then like to order an extra pancake to share. But my friend who is Croatian did not get it and ordered two. Once I came back from taking drinks, I wanted to cancel one pancake. It was like maximum 5 minutes after the order. But the waitress did not allow us to or attempt to try to see if the order had gone through. Instead she said we could just pack it and take it home with a greedy smile. I find this totally unacceptable. We can see their business probably get worse and try in every way to get more money from the customers. This is neither an honest nor a welcoming practice though. I sincerely hope they would change.

Normally there is a time limit of 90 minutes for a table. We were due to the train strike 10 minutes later and therefore sat also 10 minutes longer. Luckily there was no one coming to us to rush us out. I guess it's because there was no one waiting for a table. When we left, it was 20:00 and the restaurant was not even full. I have never experienced this. It has turned really bad. From 2023 till 2024 they have made their business worse and worse. If they continue to be so mean and so greedy, they won't get their business further. Please do not blame corona, I have been to many Japanese and Korean restaurants after the pandemic but they are all fine, except this one. It's honestly their own fault. Saving that little bit of food may help save your money, but you lose your customers in the long run (coz your side dishes have also changed and they are now only cheap food, which still has a limit to it).

I like to show my new inernational friends restaurants that I like and find pretty much authentic for us Asian. But I can assure you, I am not coming here with anyone again and I am telling the friends who have come here with me not to come again as it is not as good. I will recommend them the new ones I find. I used to like it here and don't want to see it close. That's why I am spending so much time writing this review. I do hope you can consider it and try to improve again. You should be happy that this time I was not a mystery customer (I once was). Otherwise, your service would have totally failed.

We have been here many times as a family since we live nearby. Recently they had a new menu with price increases. I have uploaded pictures of the new menu.

🔸Service🔸

The service here was never great and the staff always looked a bit grumpy. We thought maybe because they were busy.

But today we went early and there were only 2 other tables, the service was still poor - They never smiled or greeted😶, didn’t offer child seat, nor extra plate and utensils for our kid, never came and asked if everything is alright and if we need anything..also no thank you or anything said when we paid. They acted as if they hate what they are doing. This affected the whole dining experience. 🤷🏻‍♀️

🔸Main Dish🔸

Japchae (15,50€): The worst I ever had. Tasted just like generic asian imbiss style oily fried noodle… no sesame taste at all.

Bulgogi grill dish (40€ for 2 pp): It tasted alright but not exceptional. Sometimes the meat can be chewy depends on your luck.

🔸Side Dish🔸

We always liked the side dishes. They were free to refill previously, but we were told that isn’t the case anymore. 🤷🏻‍♀️

🔸Conclusion🔸

We used to come here regularly despite mediocre service, because of the location (walking distance from home), reasonable price with appropriate portion of food, as well as nice side dishes with free refill.

However, with the price increase and no more side dish refill, on top of a unwelcoming service, we won’t come here as often as before anymore.

The Korean bbq marinade on the meat was way too salty. The plate also doesn’t get hot enough for the authentic taste of the char you’d get normally. The other dishes were okay. Decent enough if you really miss Korean food
