It's a nice place to enjoy and relex. It's a historic place where you can walk through historic buildings. It's a prison which is now converted to an art gallery.And there are many restaurants inside this art gallery.
Unfortunately, most of the experiences and theater exhibits were not operational when I was there. This left the experience primarily limited to "B Block" and the courtyards. This left the visit a little underwhelming.
The potential for this to be a moving exhibit is there. However, if you are looking for something uplifting and positive, this isn't the exhibit for you. It is moving but it is dark and decidedly disturbing (bordering on upsetting). If you're interested in a starkly honest presentation of the history of the police and prison system in Hong Kong (with all the side-drama that entails) then you should enjoy this.

There are guides standing around and they are very knowledgeable and helpful. Did not feel lost at all even though the compound is massive. Emmanuel was particularly nice! He speaks great English and Mandarin and was so cheerful when chatting with fellow visitors and i.
The place is clean and well-maintained despite its rich history. Enjoyed my time here very much.

A nice open space where you can enjoy art galleries, nice weather with the outside seatings available for the public, or nice restaurants located within the area. It is a renovated historical building which is surrounded by tall buildings. It is a rare-find in the sense that, inside the highly populated city and tall buildings, you can really enjoy art and feel isolated even for a couple of hours.
If you are into hipster vibe, this is your place. Not your conventional place, but everything looked so aesthetic, industrial and brutalist. You can find cafes inside the complex and prison yard, and just relax after you are done visiting special exhibits/events here.
I would love to return to this place soon! I feel that there is more to see.

I like architecture here! It was amazing more than I expected. There have an exhibition inside the building and it was interesting!
