Nice & cheap place to stay for the weekend, room was warm when we arrived which was A++ Service was great & staff were friendly. Thank you :)
We just pulled in for lunch on our way past and it was great! Toasties are top notch and the pizza looked great. Huge portions, great value for money and staff were fab. We shall be back :)
First time visit and so impressed with the customer service.
We enjoyed our Cod and chips lunch and drinks and we'll be back stay a night in a Motel and go to the Restaurant for dinner.

We were a group of about 13.
We all had a meal which was absolutely delicious and well presented.
We had phoned twice for a taxi which didn't arrive, the wonderful lady behind the bar called us an Uber and made sure we were taken home.
Highly recommend The Redwood Hotel.

This Hotel represents very good value for money. The rooms are clean and of a very good size. Some of the rooms are yet to be renovated, but signs are they will be done. The staff were very professional and accommodating. The bar/restaurant next door is absolutely brilliant....great food, and big portions. The complimentary drink was a nice touch.
Brilliant place for short stay. Value for money for a 3 star hotel. Have nice little thoughtful things like a packet of chips and complimentary drinks, beer etc at their pub next door. The Pub cum restaurant serves pub food but cheap and good , brilliant for people on a budget. The prices you pay for food and the portion is insane. Auckland would be put to shame. Need to try to believe
If you're looking for budget accommodation this is the place. Petrol station across the road comes in handy for snacks. Location to town is good. Staff friendly and helpful.
Lovely interior, great music and vibe. Foods and services were top. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to try South Indian cuisine.

Excellent coconut chicken curry from the Arabian Sea, right in the heart of Te Waipounamu. We’ll come again. Lovely with an evening walk through the park too.
