Such a cool place. We saw almost every animal in their encounters, except for one gecko we couldn't find. But I bet he was hiding! Cafe was nice but slightly pricey. A lot of shade and and spots to stand under if the rain comes like today. Lots of cafes and toilets around the place. I was happy with the size of the encounters and thought it was clean and tidy. They need magnets that have 'auckland zoo' om them. I can get a kiwi on a magnet anywhere I want one that says exactly where I've been.
What a lovely zoo this is. The enclosures look really appropriate for the animals. It was nice to see lots of species sharing space like they would in the wild. Very pleasant and will definitely be back.
Spent a Saturday afternoon here & kids loved it. All the animals were out & it was loads of fun for the whole family. Crazy busy trying to get a carpark though so best to go as early as possible.

Wish we had time to stay longer but had to catch a flight.
So well set out, awesome exhibits with lots of room. Kids had a blast but I think I enjoyed it more 😁

Was a fun experience seeing all the animals. The tigers were finally out so we could see them along with the tiger cub as well as all the beautiful lions. A great day out for my son. The team was so helpful when we had questions too
This is a must visit for school aged children who loves animals. There are animal encounters as well wherein zoo staff will do some shows. They got lots of butterflies inside. My son enjoyed our visit.

Excellent place for an inquisitive toddler. We brought our 2 year old grand daughter for the day. She absolutely loved it. We were able to get through the park before about 1pm which was perfect because it held her attention long enough for us to entertain her until nap time. Great selection of animals, more than we expected, and whilst we didn’t eat at the cafe the food amenities looked excellent. Great place for a little play time with the moko.
Had a fantastic time recently at the zoo haven’t been in years and they have done up quite a bit of it and it looks really good! I especially enjoy the pride lands with the giraffes and zebras etc as you can really see them close up and they are so cute! Also very impressed with their PR who answered my Facebook message with in depth information. All round great day at the zoo!
We loved coming here. It the second time but this time my son really enjoyed it and could read all the little information quotes around the place. Great range of things to do like the train ride, feed the animals, the butterflies (that can actually land on you) and all the dinosaurs that move, crocodiles and alligators! Even a play ground for kids to play on while you have lunch.
Don't often get to see the tiger up close and show off his hunting skills! Great walking space, good café location's.... can stop when you need to. Parents room at the watering was very useful 👌.
Our granddaughter from Melbourne wanted to see AUCKLAND ZOO whilst visiting us! We hadn’t been for about 8 years when my dear wife was a volunteer there!
WOW, the massive refurbishment and new animal enclosures are absolutely fantastic! You are more associated with their natural habitat and closer. Missed the hippos, no longer displayed! Flamingos stole the show for us, encounters well presented by well spoken knowledgeable keepers and assistants. We took her to the Elephant house for lunch! Fantastic experience, service, drinks and food was exceptional, our waiter so friendly and polite made us feel special!

The Auckland Zoo was by far the best zoo I have ever been to! I can say enough good things about my trip here. There were so many different kinds of animals and fish and each exhibit gives a lot of information regarding the animal. I learned so many new things and I got to check off seeing a Kiwi Bird in real life off my bucket list! I highly recommend coming here if you visit Auckland New Zealand!

Der Dinopark ist schön aufgemacht. Das Schmetterlingshaus ist klein aber beinhaltet viele verschiedene Arten. Zu sehen gibt es auch Fische, Reptilien und Bauerntiere.
Ganz lustig nahe am Flughafen, etwas teuer für die Größe.
Guter Spielplatz. Perfekt um die Zeit bis zum Abflug zu überbrücken
