We visited Golden Moon during our most recent trip to Icmeler, Turkey in July/August this year (2024).
The food, atmosphere and staff were all excellent and we had a wonderful time.
The steaks on offer are second-to-none, my personal favourite being the surf & turf which has to be complemented by one of the many steak sauces on offer (Gorgonzola or Peppercorn would be my personal recommendation).
The staff are happy to accommodate various requests to make changes to dishes I.e. salads instead of chips etc and were also knowledgeable about what each dish contained.
If you’re visiting with teenagers then they’ll even adjust the size of adult dishes to avoid waste.
The friendly atmosphere created by staff began at the entrance with the front of house being welcoming but not pushy (unlike some other restaurants). The waiters welcomed us like old friends and were happy to spend time talking without the feeling they had to rush off. The owner, present every night that we went makes regular visits around the tables and was a joy to talk to have a laugh with.
Proof of how much we enjoyed visiting the restaurant was the fact we returned 7 times during our two week trip and it became our go-to place in Icmeler.
Price-wise, yes you could find cheaper food, in particular steak locally however from personal experience it won’t be as higher quality nor would you get the excellent service we consistently got at Golden Moon. That said the pricing was still very reasonable and good value for money.
If you’re looking for a place that serves excellent quality food (a large selection of Turkish and English dishes) with fine-dining service then this is where you need to visit.
We can’t wait to come back.

Şezlonglarda kalma karşılığı yemek yeme zorunluluğu olmasa kimsenin uğramayacağı bir mekan. Özellikle çalışanların yerli müşteriye dilenci muamelesi yapması çok can sıkıcı, halbuki 2 saat şezlong kullanma karşılığında 1485 tl yemek yemiştik.

Good quiet sports bar for a reasonable price for Efes 100TL darts board pool table and huge TV showing sports. Better than the noisy bars at the beach.

Food us brilliant homemade chips really tasty 😋. Workers very kind and friendly also throw a few jokes around especially Muhammed, I have a been a few times and they have been brilliant. On matchdays for teams very busy and packed but otherwise moderately full atmosphere is good as when teams score there is a celebration. Also punching machine and even a pool table for you and kids. About 40 lirah (1 pound) for a token for the pool or punching bag which is the same price as england

Great place with no crazy waiters. Good selection of music and not too loud. Food was good and the prices of both food and drinks were very good. The biggest TV screen you have ever seen with fantastic quality of picture. The boss is a nice guy and very trustworthy. Give it a try.

Very detailed and delicious plates are offered at very affordable prices. The staff is very attentive and energetic. I highly recommend the place.

Absolutely beautiful place, beautiful food beautiful wine and beautiful service and beautiful presentation! Came in here with family after looking on menu outside. From start to end the service was excellent. Balloon bread and dips absolutely gorgeous. I opted for lamb shank and the meat just fell off the bone. Farther had ribeye steak with I tried and was so tasty, mother had the salmon beaut. Little one had cheese burger and it was a homemade patty with lashings of cheese!! Home cooked chips. Price range very good, and they even gave us a lift back to our apartments. Brilliant evening! Would highly recommend.

Great atmosphere in the restaurant and brilliant cocktails, very strong cocktails, would recommend the margarita so so strong!!! Lovely snack menu. All in all a fantastic day here and they even collected us and brought us back! Would definitely recommend!!

Food was good. The guy serving seemed a little wild. Wild eyes, talking very fast. If you see what I mean. Hint hint. Fairly dismissive of us really. Wouldn't return.

Addition. In response to the bar owners comment: if I'm honest, given that I work with addicts every day, he looked coked up. Can't say it much plainer than that.

Nothing to complain about, great food, friendly staff, amazing baklava. My first time trying it and was no disappointment.

The food was absolutely stunning, best food I’ve had in Icmeler by far. All home made, beer battered onion rings, home made fries, none of that frozen, mass bought stuff that all the other restaurants do.

The place itself is visually beautiful too, absolutely best place for food in Icmeler by far and it isn’t even close. Will 100% be back, thank you very much

Had 3 fab meals here. We stopped at Hotel Aqua all inclusive and recommended this place to everybody. Visited last year too but this time chef had changed but food even better. Atmosphere relaxed and top rate service. No dragging you off the street. Just at the back of the town but finding.

The food was good, I had the Captains platter, which was good but missing the mussels for some reason. Others shared the meat cooked in the clay pot. They really liked this. The only disappointment was one of our party thought the Hunters chicken fa's a bit tough.

Service was good, and they explained the dishes when asked.

A big plus was that they put on the football for us, Aberdeen v QotS👍🏼

I’d heard a lot about Turkish hospitality before but I feel that Rush Bar & Restaurant took it to another level - we felt so welcomed in and you can tell they genuinely care and want to give you a great experience as opposed to any other motivation like tips / money. Shout out to Murat who we felt became a friend during our short stay.

They have gluten free and vegan menus but also catered to my dietary needs (gluten free, dairy free, no red meat) by offering to make what I wanted if it wasn’t on the menu. I’m also a really fussy eater but was still really impressed with the quality of the food, as was my partner. The garlic shrimp in particular was delicious.

The place also had a really nice vibe - we visited twice and on one night there was live music and karaoke after which was fun.

Outside of this, we were able to go and ask them for help if we needed. On one day my partner got injured in the evening but there were no pharmacies open, we came here to ask if they had anything or knew anywhere we could get some first aid stuff and they welcomed us in and gave everything we needed for the injury before we left (we weren’t there for food or drink or anything - only that).

Overall this place was 10/10 for food quality, accommodating dietary needs, hospitality (for which they went above and beyond) and genuine people with a good vibe. Highly recommend it to anyone in Icmeler. We will miss this place now that our holiday is over.

Just next to apartments and really nice people with decent prices and choice.

We were there early evening with the grandchildren. Service was good and everyone enjoyed the food. Definitely worth a try when on holiday, plenty of choice.

The best meal I had in Icmeler!!
Friendly staff, complementary delicious salad with bread. I had lamb chops and those were delicious. My friend had seafood casserole and he said it was great. House wine was great too.

İster sezlongunuzda isterse restaurant kisminda yemeginizi yiyip ickinizi icip denizin keyfini cikartabileceginiz calisanlari ilgili saygili olan Marmariste tercih edebileceginiz guzel bir işletme.

The best food we had in Icmeler so far. Their sea bream is just sublime, want to steal the recipe. So moist and full of flavour.
Had a breakfast, and a lunch from them also, all is utterly delicious.We will miss "Tom Cruise" and " Jack Daniels",such warm attitude from the team . Cannot wait to have our last meal here tomorrow , and will definitely be back to Babam! Thank you.

Best fillet steak I’ve ever had.

Poor service not atmosphere.
Only went from drinks as it was a Brit’s pub , no British here , had to ask 3 times for my soft drink to complete the drinks order of 3! 20 mins later it arrived after everyone else had finished drinks, other brits around sent food back wakes out without paying due to service I really hope they sort themselves out

Great atmosphere and food is excellent. Staff are friendly but not pushy.

Biggest plus for me was the vegan options and alcohol free lager available.

Really good food, perfect view, friendly funny staff, nice atmosphere and reasonably priced. Highly recommended if you want a good meal with a view. Will be returning very soon.

On holiday and it's my choice for the family meal tonight and chose here. Hadnt been in for a couple of years so decided to go back and wasnt disappointed. Booked before hand as wanted to guarantee a table. It was all nicely set out for us, seated and orders taken. Out came a very tasty salad and meze- free i might add, then starters, i had homemade tomato soup with bread-very good, others had the cheese cigars slso good. I had the chicken casserole which was amazing, the sauce with it i could have drunk, others had grilled chicken n salad, chicken schnitzel, meatball casserole, mixed meat casserole and ottoman casserole, all dishes were amazing n not a bad word about anything. Couldnt fault the service or the food. A must try in icemeler.

Fantastic meal had by all here tonight. We couldn't fault any of it. Good tasty food, large portions and at a good price. They sell alcohol here along with your meal. We prebooked a couple of days earlier as we were a large party and wanted to guarantee a table. The owners set out our table prior to us coming. The servers were polite, prompt and well presented. There are toilets available for customers which were clean and tidy.

We had a very good meal the chefs are top class. The waiting staff can't do enough for you. Rashid the landlord and Murat the manager make a point of knowing and welcoming all their guests and making sure you are happy. There was live entertainment on and the singer and guitar player are very talented. You will want to return to the Rush Bar.

Sometimes it's really hard to pick out one restaurant on a street lined with them trying to lure you in. But we decided on Meryem largely due to its name and the very kind man who greeted us on several occasions when we previously had walked past. We had a set menu with the mixed grill and it was excellent. Also had a delicious local dessert as pictured. Good value, delicious food, and very kind and attentive service. Don't walk by this restaurant, definitely worth a visit!

Really good food, fantastic service cracking atmosphere.

Our breakfast was awful so was the tea and coffee, place was dirty all the staff sat round smoking or on their phones. No more of our business I'm afraid. They doubled all their drinks prices for the England v Spain final that's what they think of Brits, a place to avoid. Lots of much better honest bars that deserve our custom.

Ich komme schon seit Jahrzehnten an diesen Ort. Ich habe mich immer Wohlgefühl und der Service war super. Jedoch gestern Abend haben sie all ihr verdientes Lob über den Haufen geworfen. Wir waren der Meinung das dieses Restaurant die besten Steaks macht. Wir haben ein Medium Steak bestellt und es kam richtig durch, fast wie Kaugummi. Höflich haben wir drauf hingewiesen das wir ein Medium Steak gewünscht haben. Darauf hin haben sie es ausgetauscht. Das nächste Steak war durcher als das davor. Wir konnten es nicht genießen. Selbstverständlich haben haben wir die Kellner wieder darauf aufmerksam gemacht. Doch diesmal wurden sie nervös und zogen den Mann am Eingang hinzu, der alles andere als freundlich war. Er sagte das ist Medium und vermittelte uns als hätten wir keine Ahnung was Medium wäre. Danach sagte er, das das Steak meiner Frau vorher besser war und sie nicht zufrieden war und jetzt wieder sich beschwert, deshalb wird es nicht getauscht. Sein Motto war iss es oder Pech gehabt. Dieses Verhalten ist für ein Service orientiertes Lokal nicht akzeptabel. Wir kommen nicht wieder. Hier ein Bild davon was für den Kollegen Medium bedeutet.
Kleiner Tipp um die Ecke am L‘etoile könnt ihr Medium Steaks bekommen , die super sind und ein perfekten Service bieten.

Kardeşimle otel yemeklerinden sıkılıp restaurant arayışına girdik ve love boat dikkatimizi çekti servisinden yemeklerine tatlıların lezzetine kadar her şey mükemmeldi. Serdar bey ve Özgür bey’e nezaketleri için çok teşekkürler.

Klasse, fühle mich dort gut aufgehoben. Sercice ist unschlagber. Alle nett und freundlich. Essen super, Bier immer kalt. Bin seit Jahren dort und nie enttäuscht worden. Hervorzuheben ist hier der Beachservice. Vorbildlich. Kann man wirklich empfehlen. Viel Spaß.

Babam Restaurant&Beach e İçmeler sahilde güzel bir plaj ararken denk geldik. Oradaki ilgilenen abiler çok yardımcı olmaya çalıştılar. Açıkçası diğer şezlong+ şemsiyeye ödediğimiz para yerine burada limit fiyat 250 tl uygulaması ile (yani restaurantta yiyip içiyorsunuz) şezlong ve şemsiyeye para vermeden yarım günümüzü geçirdik. Öncelikle sabah kahvaltısı yaptık. Gayet doyurucu ve beklemediğim kadar da çeşitli bir kahvaltı bizi karşıladı. Fiyat olarak 2 kişi için diğer yerlere kıyasla süper ucuzdu. Plaj kısmı nezih insanlar ile doluydu, çoğunlukla İngiliz turistin bulunduğu yer olan içmelerde burada da aynı popülasyon ile karşılaştık. Denizi o güne mi özel bilmiyorum ama beğenmedim çünkü pisti ve kalabalıktı. Taşlı denizde suyun dibini çok görememek insanı biraz üzüyor. Akşam yemeği için yine bu restaurantı tercih ettik ve benim yediğim kremalı tavuklu makarna çok lezzetliydi. Arkadaşlarım da hamburger tercih etti ve onlar da yine doyurucu ve güzeldi. Bira ve yemek fiyatları yine söylemek gerekirse çevre ortalamalarının Altında idi. Ellerinize sağlık. Tek eksi diyebileceğim şey personel bir şeyler yiyip içmeniz için sizi biraz fazla darlama moduna giriyor.
