Seit einigen Wochen gehen wir wieder regelmäßig in den Dorotheenhof, hier gefällt uns der Wintergarten mit seinen drei Tischen besonders gut. Drinnen ist es uns leider zu laut. Der Service ist immer wieder super nett und freundlich, es ist toll, dass ihr so viel Glück mit den jungen Damen im Service habt. Die Adventsspeisekarte gefällt uns auch extrem gut, da es nun auch Rind- oder Kalbsgerichte gibt. Vielen Dank dafür und weiter so!

Gutes Essen zu normalen Preisen. Der Wein schmeckt ebenfalls lecker und im Sommer kann man schön draußen sitzen

The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great.

We had the Rumpsteak and the flambierte Filetstreifen.

Service was quick and friendly. And the food, we had both Schnitzel and Spaghetti with Truffels, i highly recomend

Had some of the best food and service at this restaurant. All the wait staff were lovely and accommodating and was an added bonus that they spoke great english! Recommended to anyone in the area ☺️

Nothing bad to say about Zum Wagenrad - very good food (creative and delicious schnitzel), forgiving and attentive service, 1960s/1970s themed atmosphere with adequate indoor seating. Open when others are closed. Thank you, Zum Wagenrad!

I reserved a table one week in advance for a birthday dinner with a group of friends in mid July 2023. Called 3 hrs before to add 2 people to the party. Only at that moment I am told they are closed because they had fired the chef. I did not get a call to inform me about the cancellation. Had to frantically improvise and call all my friends instead of what it should have a relaxed birthday celebration. There are so many better places in the area, that I am not giving it another chance. Sorry that your reservation system is so bad.

Great food. The cook even made adjustments for my gluten allergy. The courtyard had many German families obviously enjoying themselves. Recommended

The atmosphere was great- cozy and joyful, however, both my friend and I were quite disappointed about our Schnitzel. Not juicy but hard and blend meat (feels overcooked)… have tried much better ones. I would say a supermarket Schnitzel would have tasted better after heated.

This place has the most incredible gnocchi I have ever had. You must try this plate!

Very nice local village restaurant, came in for dinner on our way from Frankfurt to koln, the place was packed with locals which seemed to have a great time.

Compared to other local Italian restaurants I've been to in hochheim this one just didn't measure up. It has an amazing location and cozy feel... But the pasta selection and flavor for the basics was lacking in comparison..

The steaks looked great but didn't order one so i can't comment on whether they tasted as good as they looked.

Nice terrace in a quiet part of the old town. The locals eat here. Not cheap but excellent quality. Try the house made pasta if you can afford it!

Gute Weine, super guter Sekt, gutes Essen, netter freundlicher Service.

I'd consider this place to be the jewel of Hochheim. I can eat here everyday! The food is amazing and the setting is one of the finest especially during the warmer months with the outdoor dining area and grapevines hanging overhead. You'll love the experience, the food, and the service here. They also make you feel good with a creative way of putting your name on the table if you make a reservation.

Favorite Italian Restaurant! I'm now a regular here since they made me feel like family from day one and always make for a fun experience when I'm there. The food is amazing and the setting is magnificent. Located in the central Altstadt for great outside dining during the warmer months!

18.06.21: Es war mal wieder soweit das man Plätze beim Preis bekommen hat. Wie immer war das Essen und die Getränke gut. Heute 08.10.2020 angerufen und im Überdachten Bereich noch 2 Plätze bekommen. Vorschriftsmäßige Anmeldung nach den Corona Vorschriften. Das Essen war heute nicht so wie sonst gewohnt, Spießbraten leider nur Lauwarm, Schnitzel sehr fest, das hatten wir hier schon besser. Getränke wie immer Ok. Die Beanstandungen wurden auch über die Servicekräfte weitergegeben.

Straußwirtschaft mit netten und freundlichen Servicekräften, guten Weinen und einer Speisekarte bei der für fast jeden etwas dabei ist. Es gibt sogar Kochkäse 😆, wir hatten jeder eine kleine Portion Spießbraten, der sehr gut und zart war. Der Krautsalat und der Kartoffelsalat hätte für uns etwas besser abgeschmeckt sein können, ja beim Kartoffelsalat haben so manche Scheiben die 1 cm Marke fast erreicht 😖. Aber sonst alles gut, wir hatten heute das erste Mal hier Platz gefunden.
Gestern 27.07.19 hatten wir sehr lange Wartezeiten, ja die junge nette Servicekraft war noch nicht so flott wie ihre männlichen Kollegen. Grund Sie wäre auch erst den zweiten Tag da, aber das wird sich sicher noch einspielen. Es ist halt ärgerlich wenn andere Gäste die später kamen und auch Spießbraten hatten vor uns ihr Essen serviert bekamen. Essen war wie immer gut. Die TK Kartoffelpuffer gehen besser, wenn man diese selbst macht.

Earthy beer/Schnitzel and steak place. Has garden. Not really for vegetarians.

Possibly the best spot in Hochheim for a late night drink and some pizza. The waiters appeared to be enjoying themselves, joking with us and dancing when the mood struck. They can be open as late as 5 AM depending on the number of people. Best spot for dinner and drinks in Hochheim!

This is one of the best German restaurants I have ever been to. The food takes some time getting to you but the wait is more than worth it. I got the schnitzel with a sherry rahm sauce and croquettes. It was just absolutely amazing.

Have only had one item on their menu, and it was great, as was my dining partner's meal. Decent prices and nice location for outside dining.
