The katsu curry was delicious, the portion was fair. The food menu in my opinion is better than the drinks menu, that doesn’t have anything fresh. Ordered a “Genki” by their reccomendation, but was just not for me. Had two sips only.

Before I had a sit, I asked if the raspberry pistachio cake is fresh and the guy at the counter said - yes.
The cake was really old for 2-3 days sure, I couldn’t eat. The moist was only in the middle of my slice, I had only that bite. I mentioned isn’t fresh at all when I paid. He gave me 10% off.
The cake price is 18 rm.

I've been coming to Capitol Cafe in Bukit Bintang since 2020, and it never disappoints! This morning, I had their nasi lemak ayam goreng and nescafe ais, and it was a delightful experience. I took the LRT Kelana Jaya from Subang Jaya station, changed to the MRT Kajang at Pasar Seni Station, and after arriving at Pavilion Bukit Bintang Station, it was just a 5-minute walk to the cafe.

I arrived at 8 am, and the place was buzzing and lively. The cafe was full, and half an hour later, they opened up another section to accommodate more customers. The atmosphere here reminds me of the old kopi tiam in Tanjung Tualang, Perak – so nostalgic! I like that they have been around for ages and not a neo-post-Covid eatery that tries to pass itself off as an old-school kedai kopi. It really is an old school kedai kopi!

The nasi lemak was good – light and fluffy rice, slightly sweet sambal, and crispy ikan bilis and kacang, which is essential. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy inside, marinated simply with salt and turmeric, just the way I like it. The nescafe ais was served in a glass, a bit sweet for my taste, but I was here to treat myself. I like my nasi lemak soft and lemak and the sambal searingly hot with potatoes and a bit of gravy because this is how I make it at home but I thoroughly enjoyed Capitol Cafe's version

The food, the ambience, and the fantastic servers make this place a gem. Highly recommend!

Bad taste for Tongshui, order red bean and black sesame, the Tongshui is so watery, red beans are less than a table spoon and it was bad quality bean, not worth to try.

Food is rather ok for fried rice & Hakka Yam Abacus Seed but nonono❌for Poridge.

I paid my red bean, black sesame soup, Hakka Yam Abacus Seed and fried rice for RM32.60.

Environment- wash room so dirty & smelly, felt wanna vomit..omg! Got cockroach in the shop and when customer call the staff, the staff act very calm like that's very normal .

Definately won't visit again.

The restaurant serves commendable food, with the salmon laksa being delectable and the lasagna exceptional ; among the best I’ve tasted outside an Italian restaurant. The place is cosy with a great ambiance, very friendly staff, and is kid-friendly. The prices are reasonable, a great spot to visit when you crave for good food and having kids with you.

Decent toast and eggs which became a bit overcooked after leaving for a few minutes. Milk tea was good. Hainan tea (yuan yang) was better, thick and flavourful but felt a bit too sweet.

Overall a good experience. The restaurant has an “old school” local flavour. It’s as close as an authentic Malaysian kopitiam experience as one can get.

No one who served you speaks Hainanese essence . Coffee is considerably good .

I have been coming to this cafe for 8 years now. The food and staff there are always attentive.
Especially one kakak who will be in charge every shift she's the best.
Even after a year, I come back to this shop she still recognizes me.
I will always have the usual nasi lemak or mee Siam it's perfect for breakfast.

-they do serve lunch. Ala carte.
-they have indoor and outdoor.
-local dishes mostly.

Heard that this used to be a tong shui stall in pudu which moved into a shop. For its long history of tong shui making, was expecting excellent tong shui tbh.

Red bean soup was decent. Tong yuen were v soft and decadent, especially good when they decided to heat up the gingery soup. One bowl was served Lukewarm - not great. Black sesame was a real downer, tasted lousy and texture was of a sus thick goo.

Savoury kuih like fried yam was nothing to shout about. Sweet kuih - like the corn as well as peanut were OK.

The rest of the food one display looked a tad sad - the glutinous rice, abascus etc.

Parking is a killer here. Will not return for this for all the parking hassle alone.

In search of a caffeine fix around KL, I decided to try a specialty coffee bar located inside Kloe Hotel. Parking is convenient, costing RM7 per hour.

While I wouldn’t mind paying for parking if the coffee were exceptional, I found this place lacking in specialty coffee standards. The staff had minimal knowledge about the beans they were serving and offered no options for different coffee beans.

A specialty coffee bar should meet certain basic standards, and I hope they improve in this area.

Good and cosy atmosphere but the food is just not good with that price. I ordered a tuna pasta and a latte, but the coffee is tasteless and the pasta is salty.

A very nicer interior cafe. But not packed like cafes in malls or at Chinatown.
Not too cold air-conditioning, rest room is clean, and hand soap set in rest room is the same as I have.
Though I can see some comments that commenter is not satisfied with food, the burger and the toast are much better than we expected.
If I had to say some points, a lil bit mayonnaise is too much (but my daughter said the mayonnaise taste is nice, not like other mayonnaise), and my Avocado toast didn't have cheese (I can see the same toast which has cheese here).
If you pay for place to spend time in calm and modern interior cafe, price mutches it.

The atmosphere is nice. That’s all I’ve got to say about this place. Food was really bad that it overshadows the nice ambience. It’s not even worth 1/3 of the price.

My friend and I ordered the Salmon Tea Rice and Garlic, Lemon & Tuna pasta. First off, presentation. It wasn’t appetising. It looks like food served in a really budget coffee shop. But we paid RM28 for each. Please refer to the photos and see whether it’s worth it or not, you be the judge. The tea tasted like instant chicken stock soup. For my pasta, the tuna tasted like canned tuna. And the pasta wasn’t even hot!!!

For drinks, we ordered Bon Bon (espresso + condensed milk). It’s a drink that nothing can go wrong, so not much to say here. But for the iced matcha latte. I’m so disappointed. RM16 for a cup of extremely diluted matcha. I don’t think they even use quality matcha powder. It tasted like matcha flavoured milk.

Overall, it’s really a terrible visit. I hope the management can upgrade their food menu. Staff were friendly too. Don’t penalise the staff because of your severely lacking food.

The atmosphere is fantastic. Old school kopitiam vibe is abundant here. Halal. I ordered their penang char kuey teow, but it wasn't penang style. It was more oily and it's malay style - but tasty.
You can get all the malaysian breakfast here. Parking was tough though.

Surprisingly good experience. The food is a little pricey but thats fair enough for a central district I think. Everything is mildly comforting. I walked a little bit from my hotel to here and was satisfied by the food. Be aware that this place can be crowded during rush hour, we are lucky to visit it during the break time. Contactless ordering is wonderful

It is halal cafe and main menu is Nasi Lemak. The portion is a bit enough for one person. the price is comparable high compared to local shop but slightly cheaper than other restaurants spot like Nyo Nya. We choose Nais Lemak Signature, Fish Indo style and Curry Mee. All are tasty and delicious.
You could enjoy morning breakfast such bread, egg, kaya toast, etc.

Parking is limited but the ppl (i think security) infront of the shop is very helpful and look for parking spot. Better go early morning due to long queue. Enjoy it.

the place is only 10 min from our hotel, i arrive around 9.00 am and there are already a small line infront of the restaurant but we dont mind waiting since the line is moving pretty quick.

we we got sat down we ordered through the barcode they provide, we order their morning roti bakar set which consists of roti bakar, half boiled eggs and your choice of drinks which i choose ice tea tarik, capitol nasi lemak and their curry cheong fun all of them taste incredible!!!!!

we ordered a second round which consists of their kuey teow goreng, more of their roti bakar and their milo + kopi ping its sooo good!! i would comeback again 10/10

their service is also very fast and quick, the staff there is also very friendly

This place has been a popular port for supper and dessert. Haven't been here for very long, and I got a shock that the price was ridiculous now. Looks at the Hakka Abacus, fried with only dry shrimp, shallot, very small amount tiny pieces of yam & shitake mushroom and it cost RM12.50. Guess this is gonna be my last time coming here. Pricing no longer makes sense, sorry to say that

Pasta is al dente but can be more saucy.

Pleasant little cafe tucked in BV2. Special corners for kids but doesn’t impinge on adult diners. Food clean and quality for a quick bite. And if you’re lucky order the sourdough kombucha, it knocked my socks off. So good!

One of the dessert shop in Pudu area. Dining place with Aircond so far ok. Some of the dessert not bad. Whatever you wanna take away or having here remember to Q up. Choose and order what you want and pay on the spot.

Our first time here and we loved it especially my daughter. Cozy ambience and very helpful staffs. Food was delicious. You should try Nasi ulam ayam percik. Yummy 👍🏼 they have kids fun play area too. Awesome!

Cute little cafe inside the kloe hotel. Somewhat limited selection for breakfast and oddly no juices available the 2 mornings I was there. But staff are friendly and efficient

The sushi rice is good in taste! I love the salad and the spaghetti’s and the pumpkin soup. Yummy and delicious food😝😋

This particular establishment is renowned for its impeccable selection of kuih-much and desserts, but it's worth mentioning that parking can be quite a hassle. Additionally, one must be prepared to wait in line to place their orders for food and drinks.

During my visit, I opted for a variety of dishes, ranging from an assortment of kuihs to red bean soup, abacus, glutinous rice, and fried noodles.

While I found the red bean soup and black sesame soup to be overly sweet for my liking, they were still good. However, I couldn't help but feel as though they were missing a crucial ingredient: mandarin peel.

The assorted kuihs, while alright, were either smaller than what I'm used to or my hands had grown larger. I've had better kuihs elsewhere that were also more affordable than these.

I was disappointed with the Hakka abacus, as it had an oblong shape and lacked the proper taste and texture. The amount of flour used was disproportionate to the amount of yam, making it less enjoyable than I had hoped.

The glutinous rice was decent, but nothing to write home about.

As for the fried noodles (rat tail), they were forgettable and didn't leave a lasting impression on me.

While the establishment is air-conditioned, the service left something to be desired. The prices are quite steep, especially considering the relatively small portion sizes. The food lacked a certain heartiness, and the tables were somewhat sticky.

Despite these shortcomings, it remains a popular spot for locals to indulge in their sweet tooth cravings, with the added bonus of extending their hours late into the night. The 糖水 is a crowd favourite, but personally, I found the homemade kweks to be more to my liking. The service is efficient and the store is spacious and well-maintained.

It's worth noting that my review reflects my personal tastes and preferences, and may not necessarily be indicative of the opinions of others.

Friendly cafe with Japanese korean themed style food. Chicken katsu is large, with a sprinkle of furikake, its the little touches that matter. Latte comes with little card on bean origin, nice touch. It’s upstairs on first floor so please look out for it.

Best curry mee in Malaysia 🇲🇾.

Should have sticked to their old menu. We ordered seafood chazuke and and ebi bisque but both were super salty. The food presentation was nice tho 👍🏻 nice place to have coffee but not food. Their best ever matcha tart and tiramisu is also not in the menu anymore so not sure if it’s worth coming or not.

Seeing other reviews saying their new menu is salty calls for a change of recipes tho.

The service here is just exceptional came here during lunch time with my little one. A very cozy place that is kids friendly for sure. There is a kid play area for parents to leave their kids in safe place.

Food wise, they were really tasty and presentation was just superb. I loved the carbonara and the grilled chicken. They were just melting in the mouth. One comment I have to give is the portion of the food. It was pretty small for me but I guess that is the standard the restaurant is putting when preparing the meals.

Overall, good place for brunch for sure around Bangsar area.

My recent visit with a friend was a bit of a letdown.

The Hainan tea is great and the toast is pretty good indeed, but unfortunately that's as far as the positives go.

There was 1 Chinese uncle that I thought that was pretty rude while serving us. My friend just finished his noodle, was taking a sip of his tea before going for his wanton soup. While he's drinking his tea, the uncle came over and asked "don't wanna have the soup? I'll take it away". Like why would you wanna do that especially when the customer is obviously still enjoying his meal.

Apparently this is not the only case, quite a few of the customers also experienced similar rude treatment by an uncle (I assume it's the same person) in the past reviews.

The atmosphere is noisy and can get rather crowded during peak hour since it's a kopitiam. I'd also like to point out the cleanliness of the toilet is terrible but that's not really controlled by the restaurant owner as far as I'm concerned. As for the parking, there's plenty of parking in the building itself as well as nearby places, so it shouldn't be an issue.

Overall, a pretty decent spot for breakfast if it wasn't for the rude uncle, but nothing spectacular and doubt I'll be back again after what I experienced last time.

Has this as dessert. The tofu was soft and refreshing. It don't taste like almond to us couldn't tell what was it made off but quite nice to go with longgan as well. Not too sweet

Was in Bandar Village on the second day of Chinese New Year looking for somewhere to eat for dinner Most of the restaurants were either closed or needed reservation We were glad we came across this hidden gem We were extremely hungry and decided to give this place a try Food was fast and yummy Portions were also very generous Waiters were attentive and friendly Will definitely go there again just to try their desserts the next round as we were so full

This hidden Jem cafe is located on level 2 of residence shophouse 15mins' taxi ride from KlLcity center. They serve up Japan fusion brunch and mains like teriyaki pasta, salmon/beef don bowls, matcha latte/coffee lattes as well as desserts like signature matcha roll, pistachio tarts and so much more! All items we had for the afternoon was great tasting in terms of flavours and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in the relaxing atmosphere of the cafe as well! Definitely recommended to visit this cafe when in KL!

What a cozy cafe to have a little chat with a friend and do your work at the same time. My fav is Ebi Bisque Udon! Totally my go-to-comfort food. Will totally come again to try other meals, desserts and beverages

Third visit : not tolerable anymore. The green bean 'soup' is thick like 'cheong wu' (gum paste). The kuih talam was too soft. Complained but was responded badly. So sorry to say, No more next time!

Second visit: quality dropped but still acceptable albeit the higher price.

First visit: The long seeked stall behind Majestic cinema was finally found, from the humble roadside stall on the corridors of the shops.

The sweet desserts and the snack food used to fill my stomach during my younger days when these food was under a ringgit each.

Still tasted good, the kuih-muih, the Chinese kuih-muih too. The 'sweet soup' thong sui still great.

Line at counter to choose to order which was put on tray immediately and pay up, canteen style. Fast.

Popular place for breakfast. Quite a lot of variety but the highlight for me is the Char Kueh Teow which is very flavorful with a spicy kick. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the fishball noodle soup which is a bit too plain for me. Would love to come back next time to try out the other dishes.

Very good drink! I ordered lemon ice tea and carbonara duck pasta (as recommended by many reviewers).

I was seated immediately on a Saturday evening.

The ice tea was great and had the perfect amount of sweetness. The pasta was cheesy and delightful, the egg was perfectly runny, it's a good portion for 1 person.

I would like for the establishment to handle families better, as in when there are kids running and being loud disturbing others, I'd like them to step up and tell the parents to keep their kids in check.

I appreciate being served in basically record time. Gr8 job, marmalade cafe!

The food was overall interesting and so were their drinks. There were not many people there when we visited, so it was quiet and cosy.
Would consider this a pretty decent fusion cafe that's worth trying. Would go back to try their other items on the menu.

It has been awhile since I came to this restaurant. Not much has changed, still as good. Service is good.

We came to Ah Weng Koh Hainan Tea for kaya toast and Hainan tea. We arrived at around 9am and although it was busy, we were seated straight away. A friendly uncle came over and took our order, and our kaya toast, eggs and iced Hainan teas arrived within minutes. Kaya toast, eggs and teas were all delicious. Would recommend!

A hidden gem for foodie. Open at 6am-3pm,close on Monday. Catering to nearby Market customers. Was recommended by a regular customer here. Atmosphere nothing to shout about.. the noodles? Just look at the ingredients!!! jus Rm10 a bowl. Various noodles available

Too much expectation as I had Subang Jaya branch. This one is just totally mess up. Name and ingredient is the same but really taste awful.

Staff service is amazing. Food is fine, not really thru the roof but if you get great customer service from staff, it’s all good. when you dine outside and stay longer, you will smell the gutter but that’s understandable.

We reached at 545am and the shop was really empty. The aunty was very nice and helpful, came over to take our order for the drinks and toast. We also ordered a plate of curry Chee cheong fun. The food turns out to be super good… so good that we decided to order more stuff to try so we ended up with a plate of Assam sotong nasi lemak (with Assam that packs a strong punch!!!!) and a 酸菜鱼汤米粉 losely translated to sour veggie fish soup with bee hoon. Both items turned out to be very flavourful and delicious! Honestly very impressed with all the food we had here. Definitely a great place to start your day!

This was my favourite meal in KL!

Was a little confused and lost when we reached, but a local in the queue was kind enough to help us get a table for 3. You just have to queue and let the uncle know how many pax you have and they will quickly allocate a table for you when it’s available. The staff recommended their signature toast and buns, as well as hainan tea - which was so fragrant!!

You can order food from other stalls and dine here as well, only drinks are not allowed - just get their hainan tea here anyway it’s tasty! We got curry cheongfun and lala soup from other stores and they were so delicious omg. (P/S: curry cheongfun lady was very angsty though) The lala soup was packed full with lala, and the broth is so comforting to drink I can’t explain it but I love it.

Further in there’s a store that sells pandan & brown sugar kuehs with coconut shreds, it’s not too sweet and tasted really good too! You will also see a really popular coffee store that sells claypot coffee as well, it’s so unique! Found the coffee too strong though.

Spent less than 20rm/pax here in total and left super satisfied and happy! Highly recommend.

It's about time there's a decent spot to hang out in the other side of Bangsar Village. Where Proper delivers is in its value - the breakfast I had with coffee was only RM15 in total. You don't even get away with that anywhere in Bangsar these days, it's almost criminal.

The breakfast was more than decent, the croissant was especially buttery and goes well with your coffee, which is also good in its own right. The place shines in its service. People make places, this is a prime example.

I'm also grateful that it closes later at 9PM, so I can see myself chilling after office hours here.

According to my other half who had once lived in Lucky Garden area for a while during her college days, this restaurant used to be her to-go place whenever she wanted to eat something good once in a while. Well, we didn't have much $$$ back in those days and eating dai chow was considered a luxury back then. I survived mostly on chap fan and by the end of the month, had to visit Carrefour to buy Maggi mee or Ping Pong biscuits to stock up supply - you get the idea.

So she missed this restaurant and since we were in Bangsar area one weekend evening, she suggested to eat at this restaurant. I ended up circling the area a few times just to find a parking spot - yes it was a pain in the arse. Also you had to be contented dining alfresco style in the hot & stuffy condition.

◾chicken satay - ordered the satay from the Malay lady outside the restaurant and it was polished in no time by the hungry pack.
◾Sweet & sour pork - classic Chinese dish and everyone loved this.
◾Pan fried egg with prawns - quite generous with the prawns and size-wise quite big too
◾Steamed wan yue with ginger - perhaps I am used to eating Bentong ginger so the sauce didn't excite me (they were not Bentong ginger) but the fish was good though.
◾Steamed pork belly with salted fish - not many restaurants had this dish and I gotta say that this was quite appetising.
◾Stir fried bittergourd
◾egg & ginger soup - do not bother order this.

Well the missus got her wish in the end as it was more of a nostalgic purpose. This restaurant is a favourite among the locals and has been in business for as long as she could remember. But then, I'll stick back to my regular restaurants in PJ.

The Aunty there is super friendly. She will occasionally ask whether we want to have fruits, before or after dinner . They homemade their own tofu . Besides that their salted egg variety of dishes is to die for, such as the mantis prawn and the fried bitter gore. Price might be slightly expensive for me but overall still great place to dine .
