Is a quiet small Park with the memorial of Alan Turing at the middle of it. People usually leave an apple by his side, it's believe that he commited suicide with a cyanide poisoned apple to make his mom believe it was an accident, the truth is he was chased after he announced he's homosexuality.
Some people say he was a risk for the integrity of the country due to his knowledge.
Anyway this area is a nice quiet place in the hearth of Manchester, next to Chinatown.
Great to remember those who fought for freedom, rights and justice
Dropped by the Alan Turing Memorial, right. It's a fair spot to honour such a legendary bloke, but was hoping for a bit more, to be honest. The memorial itself is simple, not much going on about Turing's life or achievements. It's a decent place for a ponder, but lacks a bit of the interactive or educational bits. Nice to see Turing remembered, but they could've done a bit more with it.
The park is nice and the information is interesting. There's a QR code to interact with, but the link appear to be broken. Hopefully they fix it soon. Totally recommend place.

Just tucked away in a corner of St Peters Square a little bit of history. It's a fantastically simple lovely statue. Well done Manchester.
